親愛的弟兄姊妹平安：

        「你們祈求，就給你們；尋找，就尋見；叩門，就給你們開門。」太七7

        今年下了好幾場雪，比較少見。最近回暖，但仍然經常下雨。今天出太陽，我走路去寄信，突然發現原來有一小區的草地已長了很多小花，不禁讚嘆神創造的奇妙！

        最近因為服事一位老弟兄，被神考驗幾位弟兄與我的耐性。由於他不懂手機的功能，但又喜歡按鍵，以致手機經常被鎖住。有弟兄花好幾個小時幫他解決問題，沒幾天手機又鎖上了，他就來找我。我們常常勸他不要亂按，但是他都沒有聽從，所以常常來麻煩我們。由於他不懂德語，有些費用沒有繳交，被警告和罰款，越是沒錢，越是被人罰。最近教會有一位弟兄幫助他，慢慢把他生活面對的問題一一解決。前天，他來我家時都寬容了很多，還請我謝謝那位幫他去眼科覆診的姊妹。我都驚訝他改變了，因為他幾乎沒有向幫助他的人說聲謝謝！

        吉森團契已經好幾年停止了學生聚會，兩週多前，神又差遣兩名學生來到團契，而且她們很想認識基督信仰。她們剛剛到吉森學習德語，有一天在路上遇見有外國人邀請其中一位女生去教會，但是他的教會不在吉森市，所以她說不能去。那位外國人馬上幫她找到一家國際教會，告訴她地址。由於女生害怕進入邪教，她邀請另外的女生一起去教會，並非常謹慎地預先去看看建立在市內的四間教會的外圍。最後，她們去了國際教會，認識了一位德國的大學生，她之前也來過我們團契，後來去了泰國半年，最近才剛剛回來。她告訴兩名女生，吉森有一個華人團契，就邀請她們來我們團契了。她們都很積極發問，但願她們尋求，就被尋見！上學期也來了一位19歲的女生，她是天主教徒，因為她是由她父母的好朋友介紹給我，我便邀請她來團契。雖然她主要說英語及德語，只會一點點的普通話，但是她也想多學學中文，所以她也願意來參加聚會。

感恩與代禱事項：

1. 感謝主，給我耐性服事比較固執的老弟兄！感恩神憐憫他，派弟兄幫他解決生活上的問題，派姊妹陪他去看醫生作翻譯！經過去年幾次的手術，他身體已經恢復健康，感謝主！求主賜他一顆感恩的心！
2. 感謝神的奇妙安排，帶領德國大學生回來，認識了兩位慕道的學生，帶她們來團契！求主使用我們的見證、傳福音，把她們帶到主面前來認識主的救恩！求主帶領我們，為我們預備同工來服事這幾位新來的學生！
3. 上週91歲老弟兄送太太來團契的時候，被警察要求看駕照，有可能要收回他的駕照，因為他太老了！求神憐憫，他的精神狀況還是很好的，禱告他可以保留駕照，繼續送太太來參加團契！
4. 感謝主的恩典，藉著醫生的藥，把我上週二突然得到的膀胱炎治好了！
5. 感謝主給我前天有機會買了回美國的機票，因為幾週前看了沒有馬上買，如今反而有更便宜的！

        願主引導帶領我們新的一年！

Dear brothers and sisters,

        Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7

        This year, we’ve had several snowfalls, which is quite rare. It’s warmer recently, but it still rains frequently. Today, the sun was out, and as I walked to mail a letter, I suddenly noticed that a lawn in a residential area had sprouted many small flowers. I couldn’t help but marvel at the wonders of God’s creation!

        Recently, God has tested the patience of several brothers and myself because of serving an elderly brother. Because he doesn’t understand how to use a mobile phone but likes to press buttons, his phone is frequently locked. A brother spent several hours helping him solve the problem, but after a few days, he reverts to his old habits and comes to me for help. We often advise him not to press buttons randomly, but he doesn’t listen. So he often bothers us. Because he doesn’t understand German, he hasn’t paid some bills and has been warned and fined; the less money he has, the more he has to spend. Recently, a brother in the church has been helping him, gradually resolving the problems he faces in life. The day before yesterday, he came to my apartment much more happier and even asked me to thank the sister who helped him go to the eye clinic for a follow-up appointment. I was surprised by his change, because he almost never thanked those who helped him!

        Two weeks ago, after the Giessen fellowship had stopped student meetings for several years, God sent two more students to our fellowship, and they were eager to learn about Christianity. They had just arrived in Giessen to study German. One day, a foreigner invited one of the girls to church, but his church wasn’t in Giessen, so she said she couldn’t go. The foreigner immediately helped her find an international church and gave her the address. Because the girl was afraid of joining a cult, she invited the other girl to go with her, and they carefully checked out the four churches in the city beforehand. Finally, they went to the international church and met a German university student who had previously visited our fellowship, then spent six months in Thailand and had just returned. She told the two girls about a Chinese-language fellowship in Giessen and invited them to join our fellowship. They were very eager to ask questions; may they be found as they seek! Last semester, a 19-year-old student joined us. She is a Catholic. She was introduced to me by a good friend of her parents, so I invited her to the fellowship. Although she mainly speaks English and German and only knows a little Mandarin, she also wants to learn more Chinese, so she is willing to come to the gathering.

Thanksgiving and Prayer Items:

1. Thank the Lord for giving me the patience to serve our rather stubborn older brother! I thank God for His mercy, sending a brother to help him with his daily life’s problems and a sister to translate for him to the doctor! After several surgeries last year, he has recovered his health. Thank the Lord! May the Lord grant him a grateful heart!
2. Thank God for His wonderful arrangement in bringing back the German university student, getting to know the two inquiring students, and bringing them to our fellowship! May the Lord use our testimony to share the gospel and bring them to Him to know His salvation! May the Lord guide us and prepare co-workers to serve these new students!
3. Last week, our 91-year-old brother was asked by the police to show his driver’s license when he drove his wife to fellowship, as he might have it confiscated because of his old age! May God have mercy on him; his physical state is still good. Pray that he can keep his license and continue to bring his wife to fellowship!
4. Thank the Lord for His grace; through the doctor’s medicine, my sudden bout of cystitis last Tuesday has been cured!
5. Thank God that I had the opportunity to buy a plane ticket back to the US the day before yesterday. I saw it a few weeks ago but didn’t buy it immediately; instead, there were cheaper options available!

        May the Lord guide and lead us in the new year!

親愛的弟兄姊妹平安：

        神垂聽孩子們的禱告，賜我一部福音車子，不單是神用厚恩待我，而是祂的作為讓我讚嘆不已。本來答應我幫忙購買車子的年輕弟兄和姊妹，都因為臨時有事務纏身，不能幫助我，但神卻預備另一位更合宜的弟兄來幫助我。我於前幾個月才認識這位已退休的林弟兄，由於他已更換了很多次車輛，所以對車子比較熟識。當我從亞洲回來，便在網上尋找合宜的車子，雖然看到有價錢合適的，但是因為車子在較遠的城市，沒有人陪我去看，我只好白白看著車子被人買走。有一天，林弟兄看到一部車子，把信息發給我，我問他有沒有時間陪我去看？我約好車行的人員，林弟兄便載我去，並幫我看車、試車，終於把車子買下來。在訂購車牌的過程中，在網上居然有人嘗試誤導我付錢給他，最後我還是把錢拿回來。登記手續時，雖然遇到一些麻煩，但最終辦好一切手續，車行把車子送到我家。第二天我便要開車去吉森，雖然對車子的性能還不太認識，顯示跳出來的符號還不太明白，但也得硬著頭皮上路。比較糟糕的是，當天下大雨，白天還好，但是到了晚上回家的時候，天色漆黑一團，仍然下雨，開到本來熟識的公路口卻發現被封了，只得走另一段小路，路面更黑，又要看路、看時速，又要顧著雨刷，最後蒙神的保守，感恩能有驚無險地回到家。

        今年聖誕節，一位老姊妹為了邀請她的慕道朋友來我家吃飯，預備了豐盛的菜餚帶到我家，所以我比較輕鬆。除了她之外，也少不了邀請一些單身人士來過節。可惜，今年我們教會最老的姊妹於十二月初離世，她的兒子也因為身體不適不能來。

        昨天本來有一位剛認識的慕道友說要來探訪我，但因女兒突然生病不能來。不過，她還是願意跟我視訊了解基督信仰。用視訊來談道，這還是我的第一次。

感恩與代禱事項：

1. 感謝神及時的供應，在天黑得早的日子裡，賜下一部合宜的車子；在買車時，有懂得車子性能的弟兄來幫忙。也感謝神賜予愛心的弟兄姊妹為這車輛奉獻，更感謝你們的代禱！
2. 求主使用老姊妹，她在讀經班上得到鼓勵，正努力經常向才認識一年的慕道友作見證，帶她去教會聖誕聚會和來我家相聚。這位慕道友也曾是餐館業人士，與老姊妹是同行，所以很投契。求主幫助老姊妹把她從偶像的影響下擄掠過來！
3. 感謝主感動慕道友與我用視訊談福音，求主帶領她在尋找真理的過程中認識主，並接受主的救恩！她的丈夫是虔誠念經的，求主保守她不受先生的影響！

        感謝你們一年的陪伴，以禱告來托住這裡的事工！

        願主恩在新的一年與您和家人同在！

        祝新年蒙恩快樂！

Dear brothers and sisters,

        “I will sing to the Lord, Because He has dealt bountifully with me.” Psalm 13:6

        God answered the prayers of his children and gave me a “gospel” car. It’s not just God’s great kindness that amazes me, but His actions also fill me with admiration. The young brother and sister who had promised to help me buy the car were unable to do so due to unforeseen circumstances. But God provided a more suitable brother to help me. I met this retired Brother Lin a few months ago. He has owned many cars throughout his life, so he is quite knowledgeable about them. When I returned from Asia, I searched online for a suitable car. Although I saw some reasonably priced ones, they were in distant cities, and I had no one to accompany me to see them. I could only watch them being sold. One day, Brother Lin saw a car and sent me the information. I asked him if he had time to go see it with me. I arranged with the dealership staff, and Brother Lin drove me there, helped me see and test drive the car, and finally, I bought it. During the process of ordering the license plate, someone online tried to mislead me into paying them, but I eventually got my money back. Although the registration process encountered some difficulties, everything was eventually completed, and the car dealership delivered the car to my home. The next day, I was to drive to Giessen. Although I wasn’t very familiar with the car’s performance and didn’t understand the symbols displayed on the screen, I set off anyway. To make matters worse, it rained heavily that day. It was fine during the day, but when I tried to return home that evening, it was pitch black and still raining. When I reached a familiar intersection, I found it closed, so I had to take a side road. The road was even darker, and I had to watch the road, monitor my speed, and keep an eye on the windshield wipers. Finally, thanks to God’s protection, I made it home safely.

        This Christmas, an elderly sister prepared a lavish meal to invite her seeker to my home for dinner, so I was relatively relaxed. Besides her, I also invited some single people to celebrate the holidays. Sadly, the oldest sister in our church passed away in early December, and her son couldn’t come due to illness.

        Yesterday, a new seeker I had just met was supposed to visit me, but her daughter suddenly fell ill and she couldn’t come. However, she still agreed to talk to me via video to learn about the Christian faith. This was my first time discussing the gospel via video.

Prayer and Thanksgiving Items:

1. Thank God for His timely provision, giving me a suitable car on a day when it gets dark early; and for the help of a knowledgeable brother when I bought the car! Thank God also to the loving brother and sister who donated to the car! And thank God for your prayers!
2. Pray that the Lord will use the older sister, who is encouraged in our Bible reading group and is diligently sharing her testimony with this seeker she has only known for a year, and bringing her to church’s Christmas service and to my home! This seeker also used to work in the restaurant industry, and she and the older sister get along very well. Pray that the Lord will help the older sister to bring the seeker to turn away from the influence of other religions!
3. Thank the Lord for moving the seeker to discuss the gospel with me via video! Lord, guide her to know you and accept your salvation in her search for truth! Her husband is deeply committed to his beliefs; may the Lord protect her from his influence!

        Thank you for your companionship throughout the year, upholding the ministry here through prayer!

        May the Lord’s grace be with you and your family in the New Year!

親愛的弟兄姊妹平安：

        「因為我父的意思是叫一切見子而信的人得永生，並且在末日我要叫他復活。」約翰福音六40

        美國的查理雖然年輕，卻被主接走了！我們吉森團契的查理活到82歲，比美國的查理早幾天被主接回天家。前者影響力很大，以致數十萬人參加或觀看他的追悼會。而我們的弟兄，是吉森團契裡第一位離開世界的弟兄，所以喪家都不知道怎麼辦。最後殯儀館編排的時間是周間的日子，能來參加追思禮拜的人不多，卻有一位89歲的德國老先生拿著拐杖，坐火車來出席安息禮及安葬儀式。原來他是第一位幫助老弟兄與其家人的德國人，後來他們成為好朋友。老弟兄是位教授，退休後都很積極向家鄉的朋友傳福音。因為他們不能參加喪禮，家屬要求把追思禮拜的過程錄影下來，以便日後發給親友看。本來去參加追思禮拜的都以老人居多，但是剛好那天老弟兄的外甥也來了，可以幫忙錄影，而且他也有更好的設備。他原來是來德國參加馬拉松比賽的，他並不是信徒，但沒想到神派他來幫忙，因此而觀看了一個基督教的追思禮拜。他的表嫂更把前一週學習的傳福音方法，在他身上實踐。

        九月份有一隊香港的短宣隊在法蘭克福附近服事，有一天她們有空，我便邀請她們來教弟兄姊妹用編織五色帶子來傳福音。本來也想邀請新同學來，剛好團契的負責人在忙辦理喪事，就讓自己人先學好，等有機會再使用。

感恩與代禱事項：

1. 感謝主，讓我在離開德國之前可以陪伴喪家，並協助主持追思禮拜！求主安慰老弟兄的家人，特別是給他的太太有勇氣回到自己的家居住！求主使用錄像，能讓他的親友去認識神！求主感動他的外甥，聽到福音後繼續尋求認識神！
2. 吉森團契會在十月安排一次迎新活動，求主吸引新生去參加！

後記：

        以上寫於離開德國赴泰國參加中福團50週年慶祝活動之前，大家都在忙碌中。從泰國回去參與香港區辦的慶典後，又在旅途中，因為沒有把文件檔案存在雲端，所以回來才把代禱信寄出。謹此抱歉！

參加中福團50週年慶典活動的感恩與代禱：

1. 感恩有機會參加中華福音使命團50週年的退修會（2025年10月8-15日），感恩藉著一起的集體活動，能夠認識更多中福團的宣教士，了解他們所事奉的工場，彼此鼓勵代禱！
2. 感謝中福團的籌備委員會與泰國工場宣教士的安排，讓我們探訪泰北一些地區的教會，包括華人、布蘭、阿卡族等，也見證昔日中福團的創辦人郭誠牧師所帶領信主的兒女，已成為今日教會的領袖，傳福音的棒一直在傳承。感謝神藉著祂差派的僕人使女，成就了今天泰國工場的眾多事工！
3. 感恩能夠在中福團五十週年慶典的主日，與一千八百多位不同民族語言的弟兄姊妹一同來敬拜神，預嚐在天國與各族、各方、各民、各國弟兄姊妹一同敬拜的滋味！
4. 當站在泰國與鄰國邊界的時候，不免想到德國華人教會的幾位泰國鄰國的弟兄姊妹，他們已經多年未能回國探望自己的家人！求主平息當地的戰爭，讓人們恢復自由平安！也為在當地事奉的宣教士，求主保守他們所作的工。
5. 感恩在行程中有宣教士關心我在香港的哥哥，透過她的轉介，認識在港的宣教士願意探訪哥哥，因他有些輕微中風的跡象！感恩她們體恤在外服事的宣教士，不能照顧自己的家人，而她有這負擔來服事海外宣教士的家人！求主祝福她的事工！求主醫治哥哥身體上的軟弱！

        願意我們一起把感恩的祭獻上，求主悅納！

        願主祝福你們有一個愉快的感恩節！

Dear brothers and sisters,

        “For it is the will of my Father that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and that I will raise him up at the last day.” John 6:40

        Charlie from America, though young, was taken away by the Lord! Our Charlie from the Giessen Fellowship lived to be 82, a few days earlier than Charlie from America, was taken home to heaven by the Lord. Charlie from America’s memorial service was attended by hundreds of thousands of people. Our brother, however, was the first brother from the Giessen Fellowship to leave this world, so his family was at a loss. The funeral home ultimately scheduled the service for a weekday, and few could attend the memorial service, but an 89-year-old German gentleman, carrying a cane, traveled by train to attend the ceremony. This German gentleman was the first person to help our older brother and his family, and they later became good friends. The older brother was a professor who, even after retirement, actively shared the gospel with others, sharing it in his group with friend’s back home. Because they could not attend the funeral, the family requested that the memorial service be recorded so that it could be sent to relatives and friends later. The memorial service was usually attended mostly by the elderly, but coincidentally, the brother’s nephew was also there that day. He could help with the recording, and he also had better equipment. He had originally come from China to participate in a marathon; he was not a believer, but God had unexpectedly sent him to help and to observe a Christian memorial service. His cousin-in-law even applied the evangelistic method she had learned the previous week to him.

        In September, a short-term mission team from Hong Kong was serving near Frankfurt. One day they were free, so I invited them to teach the brothers and sisters how to use five-colored ribbons for evangelism. We originally wanted to invite new members as well, but the fellowship leader was busy with funeral arrangements, so we had our own members learn first and use it later when the opportunity arises.

Prayer and Thanksgiving Items:

1. Thank the Lord for the time that allowed me to accompany the bereaved family and lead the memorial service before leaving Germany! Pray that the Lord will comfort the brother’s family, especially giving his wife the courage to return to her home! Pray that the Lord will use the recording to help his relatives and friends come to know God! Pray that the Lord will move his nephew to continue seeking to know God after hearing the gospel.
2. The Giessen Fellowship will be holding a welcome event for new students in October. May the Lord draw new members to participate!

Postscript: The above was written before leaving Germany for Thailand to attend the 50th anniversary celebration of the China Evangelistic Mission. Everyone was busy. After returning from Thailand to participate in the commemorative activities organized by the Hong Kong branch, I was still traveling and, because I hadn’t saved the document to the cloud, I only managed to send this prayer letter upon my return. My apologies!

Thanksgiving and Prayer for Attending the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the China Evangelistic Mission:

1. I am grateful for the opportunity to attend the 50th Anniversary Retreat of the China Evangelistic Mission (October 8-15, 2025). I am also grateful for the opportunity to meet more China Evangelistic Mission missionaries, learn about their ministry, and encourage and pray for one another through this group activity!
2. I am grateful to the organizing committee of the China Evangelistic Mission and her missionaries in Thailand for arranging visits to churches in several areas of Northern Thailand, including those of the Chinese, “Blang”, and Akha ethnic groups. I also witnessed how the children of believers led by Pastor Guo Cheng, the founder of the China Evangelistic Mission, have become leaders in the church today. The baton of evangelism continues to be passed on. I thank God for the many ministries accomplished in Thailand through His servants!
3. I am grateful to be able to worship God with over 1,200 brothers and sisters of different ethnicities and languages on the Sunday of the 50th Anniversary Celebration, and to have a foretaste of worshiping with brothers and sisters of all races, languages, peoples, and nations in the Kingdom of Heaven!
4. Standing on the Thai-Myanmar border, I couldn’t help but think of several brothers and sisters in our German Chinese church from Myanmar. Because of the war, they haven’t been able to return home to see their families for many years! Pray that the Lord will end the war there and restore freedom and peace to the people!  Also pray that the Lord will protect the work of the missionaries serving in Myanmar, including their theological education!
5. I am grateful that a missionary during my trip showed concern for my brother in Hong Kong. Through her introduction, I met a missionary in Hong Kong who was willing to visit him because he was showing signs of a mild stroke! I am grateful to this missionary for her compassion for missionaries serving abroad who cannot care for their own families, and for her burden in serving the families of these missionaries! Pray that the Lord will bless her ministry! Pray that the Lord will heal my brother’s physical weakness!

        Let us offer thanks as sacrifice of thanksgiving together, and may the Lord accept it!

        May the Lord bless you with a joyful Thanksgiving!

親愛的弟兄姊妹平安：

        「凡事都有定期，天下萬務都有定時。」傳三1

        三月份代禱信提過的八十歲老弟兄，在六月份有很多醫療預約，主要是做白內障與尿道科的手術，以及手術後的複診。由於他每次都需要有人陪同翻譯，他的需要很大。之前我陪同他看醫生，也定好了手術日期。後來在教會的生活營裡，老弟兄提出他的需要，有一位姊妹便答應幫忙，可惜她幫了兩次就不幫了。當我送弟兄去做完尿道科手術，第二天他聯絡不上我，就自己坐公交車回家了。由於手術前他沒有去買食物，手術回家疼痛厲害，去不了買菜，便向我求救。我當天要去吉森團契，請他找別人幫忙。最後他找到一位幾年沒有聯絡的弟兄，他答應幫他買食物，並帶上了另一位年輕的弟兄。因為年輕弟兄正在找工作，知道老弟兄的需要，就答應陪伴他做另外一隻眼的白內障手術，和各種的複診。感謝主，差派這位年輕弟兄來幫忙，減輕我的負擔。

        陪伴我十五年的19歲老爺車終於報廢了，因為修車的價格太貴了，不想再投資在這部舊車子了。雖然不捨，但感恩事情發生在我要去服事亞沙芬堡查經班的當天。由於發覺車子有問題，到達當地接完一位老姊妹後，便與她先去修車行。第二天，老姊妹又陪我去修車行了解情況，才得知車子要修理的問題與價格。決定報廢後，便請查經班的負責姊妹來幫忙，把我車子的東西拿走，然後她帶我去附近的車行報廢了。感恩有這兩位姊妹幫忙做翻譯，一起處理這事。

        從法蘭克福到亞沙芬堡或吉森都需要45分鐘車程，但是坐公交車每程則需時兩個小時或以上。每年暑假，鐵路公司都會有很多維修工程，很多火車改道或不再往前走，甚至班次取消。這週日答應去卡瑟爾服事，平時坐公交車需時大約三個多小時，現在都要四個多小時。夏天日光比較長，坐公交車還可以。冬天日光很短，天黑得早，路人也比較少，不是太安全。

感恩與代禱事項：

1. 感謝神差派其他的弟兄姊妹幫忙照顧八十歲老弟兄！求主保守他手術後的健康，保守他的身體可以繼續獨居生活！求主憐憫，因為手機平板電腦都被鎖住，需要有懂得的弟兄姊妹幫忙解決他的問題，不然他無法與人聯絡！
2. 感謝主差派兩位姊妹幫忙解決舊車報廢的事！感恩車子沒有在高速公路上出事！
3. 求主為我預備一部合宜的車子，可以代替遠程的交通工具，以便到附近城市的查經班服事！
4. 求主記念暑假帶孩子回鄉的弟兄姊妹，與家人有美好的團聚與見證！

        願主恩保守你們的身體與服事！

Dear brothers and sisters,

        “For everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.” Eccles3:1

        The 80-year-old brother mentioned in March had numerous doctor’s appointments in June, primarily for cataract and urinary surgery, as well as follow-up appointments. Since he needed an interpreter for each appointment, his needs were significant. I had accompanied him to the doctor’s appointments and scheduled the surgeries. Later, at a church camp, the older brother mentioned his need, and a sister agreed to help. Unfortunately, after helping twice, she stopped helping. After I escorted the brother to his urinary surgery, he couldn’t reach me the next day and took the bus home by himself. He hadn’t bought food before the surgery, and after returning home from the surgery, he was in severe pain and couldn’t go shopping, so he asked me for help. I was going to the Giessen Fellowship that day and asked him to find someone else. He eventually found a brother he hadn’t contacted in years, who agreed to help him with the food and brought along another younger brother. The young brother was looking for a job, and knowing the older brother’s needs, he agreed to accompany him for his other cataract surgery and various follow-up appointments. Thank God for sending this young brother to help and ease my burden.

        My 19-year-old car, which had been with me for fifteen years, finally broke down. Repairs were too expensive, and I no longer wanted to invest in it. Although I was reluctant to part with it, I was grateful that it happened the same day I was scheduled to serve at the Aschaffenburg Bible Study. I noticed something was wrong with my car, so after picking up an elderly sister from her home, I went with her to the repair shop. The next day, the elderly sister accompanied me to the repair shop to review the situation. Only then did I learn about the repairs required and the cost. After deciding to scrap the car, I asked the sister in charge of the Bible Study group to help remove all my belongings in the car. She then led me to a nearby repair shop to scrap it. I was grateful for the two sisters who helped translate and help me handle the matter.

        Aschaffenburg and Giessen are both about 45-minute drive, but the public transportation takes two hours or more each way. Every summer vacation, the railway company has a lot of maintenance work, and many trains are diverted, or even canceled. This Sunday, I agreed to serve in Kassel Fellowship. Normally, the public transportation takes about more than three hours, but now it’s taking over more than four. Summer daylights are longer, so taking the public transportation is acceptable. Winter days get dark very early, and there are fewer people on the road, making it less safe.

Thanksgiving and Prayer Items:

1. Thank God for sending other brothers and sisters to help care for our 80-year-old brother! Pray that the Lord will protect his health after surgery and that he will be able to continue living alone! Pray for mercy, as his phone and tablet are locked. Brothers and sisters who are knowledgeable in technology are needed to help him resolve this issue, otherwise he won’t be able to contact anyone!
2. Thank God for sending two sisters to help with the scrapping of my old car! I’m so thankful the car didn’t break down on the highway!
3. Pray that the Lord will provide me with a suitable car to replace long-distance transportation so I can serve in the Bible Study Group in nearby cities!
4. Pray that the Lord will remember the brothers and sisters who brought their children back home for the summer vacation, so that they can have a wonderful reunion and witness with their families!

親愛的弟兄姊妹平安：

        神就賜福給他們，又對他們說：「要生養眾多，遍滿地面，治理這地，也要管理海裏的魚、空中的鳥，和地上各樣行動的活物。」創世記一28

        感謝神的賜予，讓在德國成家立業的年輕一代弟兄姊妹迎接「嬰兒潮」。最近聽到不少年輕家庭都得到寶寶的消息，單是吉森團契就已經新增有三名寶寶（分別在二、四、五月出生）。一位媽媽在母親節當日誕下女兒，這是她在母親節收到最大的禮物！四月份生產的姊妹已經有三個年幼的孩子，加上新生寶寶，就一家六口，忙不過來。五月份生產的姊妹已有一個年幼的兒子，因為嫁了給德國人，不太會做飯或給她做月子餐。但是感謝神的預備，在團契有一對退休的夫妻，願意服侍弟兄姊妹，他們以前是開飯店的，所以團契哪一家有需要，他們都前往幫忙。他們不定時往一家六口的家庭去，給他們包大量的包子，做幾個大份量的菜，讓姊妹不那麼辛苦！他們也教導剛生產女兒的年輕姊妹如何做月子餐，給她做點吃的。

        上週被邀請去漢諾威的德華福音會（FMCD = Forum for Mission Among Chinese in  Germany）的會員大會分享，看到一些很久沒見的會員，其中一位姊妹跟我說她已經84歲了，與德國先生老弟兄從柏林過來開會。更感恩看到FMCD的創辦人葛忠良牧師，他雖然經歷多次的癌症，但感恩當天他的身體還好，中氣如往常一樣十足，原來他今年也已89歲了。感謝主的恩典，他住在老人公寓，但是依然每週在公寓內和人分享神的話。我們很多從外面來德國的宣教士，都是與FMCD合作，目前有九個單位，很感恩有這樣的一個平台來照顧幫助我們。當天分享的還有一對老夫妻，他們早期就移民來德國，弟兄快六十歲的時候，聽到朱昌錂牧師分享到中福團的創辦人之一，也是老年出去讀神學的，他便大受感動。後來兩夫妻有機會接受神學裝備，出來事奉也有20年，弟兄剛剛過80歲。他說，他們是與神簽合約，只要神使用他們，他們就繼續事奉下去。葛牧師等老前輩都成為我們好幾位即將到達法定退休年齡的人之好榜樣。雖然FMCD有老化的情況，但是感謝神也興起一些年輕人，今年有三位年輕人加入成為會員，他們都開始在第二代的青年營中事奉。

感恩與代禱事項：

1. 感謝主的恩賜，使懷孕的姊妹們都順利產下寶寶！感恩她們雖然沒有父母來幫忙照顧，神卻差派團契的老夫妻去服侍她們！
2. 有一對剛到吉森不久的年輕夫婦，太太不是基督徒，他們只來過團契一、兩次。太太也懷孕，預產期在7月，弟兄的媽媽是基督徒，將從家鄉過來照顧他們。團契姊妹遇見及邀請這位媽媽來團契，她就自己來了。求主保守她的媳婦順利生產！求主讓弟兄和媽媽能做好見證，使太太能早日認識主！
3. 感謝FMCD一直以來對宣教士的幫助，使來自不同地方、不同差會或教會的宣教士有一個平台，可以一起來服事德國的華人！感謝主保守葛忠良牧師的身體與在老人公寓的事奉！
4. 感謝主保守年過八十歲的傳道夫婦有健康的身體，能繼續在當地服侍！
5. 感謝主興起第二代的年輕弟兄姊妹出來事奉！感謝主，感動幾位加入FMCD作為年輕的會員，使FMCD不會有斷層！
6. 年初開始我有些新增的疼痛，上週去看了骨科醫生。感恩沒有骨質疏鬆，但是髖關節有退化，醫生開了止痛藥吃！求主憐憫，透過鍛鍊身體能減慢退化的過程！

        感謝您們的記念與代禱！

Dear brothers and sisters,

　　God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:28

　Thanks to God’s blessing, the younger generation of brothers and sisters who have started families and careers in Germany are welcoming this baby boom. Recently I heard news that many young families have had babies. The Giessen Fellowship has already had three new babies (in February, April, and May), and recently a mother gave birth to a daughter on Mother’s Day. This was the greatest gift she received on Mother’s Day! The sister who gave birth in April already has three young children. With the addition of another baby, there are six people in the family, and they are too busy to handle it. The sister, who gave birth in May, already has a four-year-old son. Because she married a German, who doesn’t know how to cook or take care of her after she gave birth. But thanks to God’s provision, there is a retired couple in the fellowship who are willing to serve our brothers and sisters. They used to run a restaurant, so whenever there is a need in the fellowship, they go to help. From time to time, they would go to the home of the family of six to make a large number of buns for them and cook a few large portions of dishes to make the sister less tired! They also taught the young sister who had just given birth to a daughter how to take care of herself after the baby is born and prepared some food for her.

　Last week, I was invited to share at the membership meeting of the Forum for Mission Among Chinese in Germany (FMCD) in Hanover. I saw some members whom I hadn’t seen for a long time. One of the sisters told me that she was 84 years old and came from Berlin to attend the meeting with her old German husband. I was even more grateful to see Pastor Siegfried Glaw, the founder of FMCD. Although he had experienced multiple cancers, he seemed to be in good health that day and his energy was as strong as usual. It turned out that he was already 89 years old this year. Thanks to the Lord’s grace, he lives in a senior apartment, but he still shares God’s word there every week. Many of our missionaries who come to Germany from outside are working with FMCD, which currently has nine units. We are very grateful to have such a platform to take care of and help us. There was also an elderly couple who shared their experiences that day. They immigrated to Germany early on. When the brother was almost 60 years old, he was deeply moved when he heard Pastor Calvin Chu shared that one of the founders of CEM also went out to study theology at an old age. Later, the couple had the opportunity to receive theological training and have been serving for 20 years. The brother has just turned 80 years old. He said they had signed a contract with God to continue serving as long as God used them. Pastor Glaw and other senior colleagues have become good role models for several of us who are about to reach the legal retirement age. Although FMCD is aging, thank God that it has also raised up some young people. This year, three young people joined as members. They all started serving in the second generation youth camp.

Thanksgiving and Prayer Items:

1. Thank God for His grace, which enables all pregnant sisters to give birth to their babies smoothly! Thankfully, even though they don’t have their own parents to help take care of them, God sent the elderly couples in the fellowship to serve them!
2. There was a young couple who had just arrived in Giessen. The wife was not a Christian and they had only come to the fellowship once or twice. His wife is also pregnant and is due in July. The brother’s mother is a Christian and has come from China to take care of them. A sister in the fellowship met this mother and invited her to the fellowship, and she came to the fellowship on her own. May the Lord protect her daughter-in-law and help her give birth smoothly! Pray that the Lord will enable the brother and his mother to bear good witness and that his wife will be able to know the Lord soon!
3. Thank FMCD for her continued help to missionaries, which provides a platform for missionaries from different places, different missions or churches to serve the Chinese ministry in Germany together! Thank the Lord for protecting Pastor Glaw’s health and his ministry in his senior apartment building!
4. Thank the Lord for keeping the pastor couple who are over 80 years old healthy to serve the fellowship in their area!
5. Thank the Lord for raising up the second generation of young brothers and sisters to serve! Thank God for inspiring several young members to join FMCD, so that there will be no gaps in FMCD!
6. I have had some new pain since the beginning of the year and saw an orthopedic doctor last week. I am thankful that I do not have osteoporosis, but my hip joint has degenerated and the doctor prescribed me some painkillers! May God have mercy on me and slow down the degeneration process through physical exercise!

親愛的弟兄姊妹平安：

        「往遭喪的家去，強如往宴樂的家去；因為死是眾人的結局，活人也必將這事放在心上。」（傳七2）

        二月第一週與吉森團契的弟兄姊妹出席一姊妹的婚禮後，第二週很多人（包括成人與小孩）都生病了，因為婚禮那天很冷。第二天週日，我到外城服事後，在等坐火車回家的時候接到噩耗，就是姊妹團契一位姊妹的年輕兒子在之前一晚自殺了。我們聽到這消息都覺得很震驚，沒想到剛成年的孩子就承受不了壓力，想不開便自尋短見。不幸的是，事發當天，年輕人的媽媽腳傷骨折，行動不方便，一切喪事只好由丈夫來處理。喪禮那天，媽媽也是坐著輪椅，很無助！因為不想張揚，參加喪禮的人不多，我和另外一位姊妹主要是去扶持年輕人的外婆，她的情緒比較難控制。到如今她還是接受不了這情況，幾乎天天去墓地問外孫為甚麼這樣做。由於當地城市不大，幾所中學的高年生都被通知這消息，因為他們很多都彼此認識。年輕人的妹妹在同一所學校就讀，有心理輔導人員來幫助她。負責團契的姊妹也很有愛心，頭一週幾乎天天都去陪伴年輕人的媽媽和外婆但這團契姊妹也覺得乏力。感恩她在靈修時得到神話語的安慰與支持。

        有一位從家鄉來探訪女兒的媽媽，一來德國便要求女兒帶她去教會，想了解基督教信仰。女兒剛好收到朋友發的教會聖誕活動單張，便帶她媽媽去教會了。後來得知她們住在吉森，便把慕道的媽媽介紹給團契姊妹認識，以便關顧。她參加了三次團契的查經，都很有感動，最後一次還做了決志禱告才離開德國。

        華人教會最元老的姊妹剛過八十歲，不能自理日常生活，最近更經常出入醫院。教會雖然建立了一個關懷團隊去關心她，但也無法全時間照顧，現在要等候入住老人護理院。另一位弟兄也是剛滿了八十歲，前幾個月在路上摔倒幾次，現在需要進行很多檢查。今早陪他去看眼科醫生，醫生要他做白內障手術。他們都是獨居老人，無論是行動不方便或是語言障礙，都需要有人去幫助他們。

感恩與代禱事項：

1. 一位單親媽媽剛結婚，其兒子現在有後父愛他。求主施恩予這家庭，讓他們有一個幸福美滿的家庭，有基督作他們家的主！
2. 自殺年輕人的媽媽已經做了腳的手術，但是還未完全能走路。求主醫治她的腳傷，更安慰她的心靈！求主安慰不能接受事實的外婆，讓她早日脫離悲哀的日子！求主保守這家的父親與妹妹，讓他們也都得到鼓勵與安慰！求主也保守年輕人的前女友，讓她與家人都得到輔導與安慰！
3. 求主保守那來探親的媽媽，使她的信心堅固，雖然在她家附近沒有教會，但求主保守她自己能堅持讀經來認識神！
4. 求主帶領教會的關懷事工，使更多的弟兄姊妹能付出時間來陪伴老人看病，以及送飯的愛心行動！求主憐憫老姊妹，讓她早日能輪候到護理院病床，得到更好的護理！求主幫助老弟兄，最近有比較多的覆診，需要有人做翻譯，使他安心看醫生，得到適當的醫治！
5. 感謝主賜給吉森團契一名新成員，就是一位姊妹剛滿一週歲的嬰兒！求主加力給她好好養育兩個寶寶！求主保守兩位懷孕的姊妹，讓她們的寶寶在胎裡健康成長，在適當的時間被產下來！

        感謝主的憐憫與弟兄姐妹的代禱，使我們的恩典夠用！

        謝謝主基督復活的大能！

Dear brothers and sisters,

        “It is better to go to the house of mourning than to go to the house of feasting, for death is the end of all men, and the living will take it to heart.” [Ecclesiastes 7:2]

        After attending a sister’s wedding with some brothers and sisters from the Giessen Fellowship in the first week of February, many people, including adults and children, fell ill in the second week because it was very cold on the wedding day. The next day, Sunday, I went to serve in another city. After the service, while waiting for the train to go home, I received the sad news that the son of a sister in the sisters’ fellowship had committed suicide the previous night. Everyone who heard the news was shocked. They didn’t expect that a child who had just become an adult could not bear the pressure and committed suicide. Unfortunately, on the day of the incident, the young man’s mother injured and fractured her foot, making it difficult for her to move, so her husband had to handle all the funeral arrangements. On the day of the funeral, she was also sitting in a wheelchair, feeling so helpless! Because they didn’t want to make it public, not many people attended. Another sister and I mainly went to support the young man’s grandmother, whose emotions were difficult to control. To this day she still cannot accept this situation and goes to the cemetery almost every day to ask her grandson why he did this. Since the local city is not large, senior students from several high schools were notified of the news because many of them knew each other. The younger sister of the suicidal young man was in the same school and had counselling to help her. The sister in charge of the fellowship was also very loving. In the first week, she accompanied the sister and her mother almost every day. Unfortunately, she was also very tired. I am grateful that she received comfort and support from God’s words during her spiritual devotion.

        A mother came from China to visit her daughter. As soon as she arrived in Germany, she asked her daughter to take her to church because she wanted to learn about the Christian faith. The daughter happened to receive a flyer about a church Christmas event from a friend, so she took her mother to church. Later, I learned that they lived in Giessen, so I introduced the seeker to a sister in the fellowship so that she could take care of her. She attended three Bible studies in the fellowship and was deeply moved each time. She even prayed the decision-making prayer on the last occasion before leaving Germany.

        The oldest sister in the Chinese church has been unable to take care of herself since she turned 80 and has been in and out of the hospital frequently recently. Although the church has set up a care team to look after her, they are unable to care for her full-time and she now has to wait to be admitted to a nursing home. Another brother just turned 80. He fell several times on the road in the past few months and now also needs a lot of medical examinations. I took him to see the ophthalmologist this morning and he needed cataract surgery. They are all elderly people living alone, and whether they have mobility problems or language barriers, they need someone to help them.

Thanksgiving and Prayer Items:

1. The newly married sister has a son who was born without a father and now has a stepfather who loves him. May the Lord bless this family and their marriage, with Christ as the Lord of their home!
2. The mother of the young man who committed suicide had surgery on her foot, but she is not yet able to walk completely. Pray that the Lord will heal her leg injury and comfort her soul! May the Lord comfort the grandmother who cannot accept the fact, and let her escape from her sad days as soon as possible! May the Lord protect the father and sister of this family, and may they also receive encouragement and comfort! May the Lord also protect the deceased’s ex-girlfriend, so that she and her family can receive counseling and comfort!
3. Pray that the Lord will protect the mother who is visiting from China, and strengthen her faith. Even though there is no church near her home, she will persist in reading the Bible to know God!
4. Pray that the Lord will lead the church’s caring ministry so that more brothers and sisters can take the time to accompany the elderly to see doctors and perform some loving actions such as delivering meals! May the Lord have mercy on this old sister, so that she can get a nursing home bed as soon as possible and receive better care! May the Lord help this elderly brother. He has many doctor appointments recently and needs someone to translate so that he can feel at ease when seeing the doctor and receive proper treatment!
5. Thank God for giving the Giesen Fellowship a new member, a sister’s baby who just turned one-year-old! May the Lord give this sister strength to raise her two kids well! May the Lord protect the two pregnant sisters, allowing their babies to grow healthily in the womb and be born at the appropriate time!

        Thank God for His mercy and the prayers of brothers and sisters, which make our grace sufficient!

        Thank you Lord for the power of Christ’s resurrection!

親愛的弟兄姊妹平安：

        「拯救我們的　神啊，你必以威嚴秉公義應允我們；你本是一切地極和海上遠處的人所倚靠的。」（詩六十五5）

        本來以為新的一年有美好的開始，可惜無論是聖誕節在德國的汽車襲擊與新年美國的汽車襲擊或加州大火，都讓受害者的家人和火災的人民無法得到平安。求主憐憫與安慰他們！

        由於吉森團契的成員精力有限，大家只是舉辦小型的聖誕活動，感恩還是有兩家平時不來聚會的朋友來參加，他們平時不來的原因是住得比較遠，但每逢團契有節日活動，他們還是很願意參加的。

        去年十一月初，接待了一位女生來我家住。秋天時，她從職業訓練班畢業，開始找工作。由於她家住得比較偏遠，住在我家交通比較方便出行；因為她投了很多簡歷，也有很多機會面試。在她努力之下，神賜給她一份聖誕新年大禮物，就是在年底前拿到工作的合同，讓她放下一個沉重的負擔。她很感激地說若不是住在我家，她去面試都很困難；由於她的家在小地區，有時候有些班次火車會停駛，耽誤她的面試。感謝主，因為她住在我家，順便也幫助兩位老人家處理他們的問題。接觸這些老人之後，她更體會我要常常面對這些老人所需要的耐力，因為他們都有自己的個性，不那麼容易接受人的建議。

        平安夜邀請了一些弟兄姊妹和慕道友來我家相聚。到開飯前兩個小時，教會最年老的姊妹（95歲）之兒子打電話給我，說他媽媽想來，卻忘記要爬樓梯到我家。當她來到時，我們一人一邊扶著她，爬了三層樓梯，把她接到家。自從Covid之後，因為沒有與人交談，她失去了語言能力，我都聽不懂她說什麼。另外，她經常摔倒，走路也是要人扶著。那天因為大家都和她說話，她又喜歡吃東西，她很開心，到接近半夜還不想離開。第二天她兒子跟我說，他注意到媽媽昨晚可以講到一句完整的句子了，他很開心。可惜，她上週得到腸炎，住在醫院裡，身體非常虛弱。

        除夕那天要接待一位單親媽媽和她五歲的兒子，所以請上面提到的姊妹回家，以便讓位給母子來度假幾天。她們住在南部一個小城市，趁假期她便帶兒子出來大城市玩玩，除夕夜也把兒子叫醒來，看我家附近燒的煙花。自從她搬離了原來住的小村，她兒子去了新幼兒園，發現他乖了一些，有時也會聽勸。可惜媽媽不信主，在教育兒子上面還是有些缺欠。

感恩與代禱事項：

1. 感恩可以接待女生，讓她找到一份工作！求主保守她的身體可以順利通過體檢，因為她有些長期病患和超重，需要減輕體重！求主保守她能夠通過試用期，在當地的城市找到住處，順利搬家！
2. 感謝主使用她幫助一位老人家預約辦理新的護照！由於他不會英語，我陪同他去了柏林的領事館。感謝主的帶領，雖然火車晚點（坐了四個半小時的快速火車），下地鐵後走的路被封了，因而繞了點路，但是我們還是及時趕上預約時間，順利辦妥手續！
3. 感謝主醫治得了腸炎的老姐妹，週一晚已經回家了！由於住了一週的醫院，她身體非常虛弱。求主幫助她的兒女懂得如何照顧她，使她重新恢復體力！
4. 感謝主可以陪伴著單親媽媽，讓她有機會與兒子來大城市走動！求主憐憫她，讓她看到神的眷顧與帶領，能夠有一天接受主的救恩！
5. 週六有一對父母外國來探親，提到他們雖然多年前來德國時已經決志信主，但回國之後就沒有這裡的氛圍鼓勵他們去追求信仰。求主藉這次探親堅固他們的信心，打好根基，無論在什麼地方，繼續跟隨主！

        求主記念眾人的禱告！

        春節快樂！新年蒙恩！

Dear brothers and sisters,

        “By awesome deeds You answer us in righteousness, O God of our salvation, You who are the trust of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest sea.”【Ps 65:5】

        I thought the new year would have a good start, but unfortunately, whether it was the car attacks on Christmas in Germany and the New Year in the United States, or the fires in California, the families of the victims and the people affected by these disasters could not find peace. Pray that the Lord will have mercy and comfort them!

        Due to the limited energy of the members of the Giessen Fellowship, we celebrated Christmas on a small scale. But there were still two non-believing families who usually do not come to the fellowship came to celebrate with us. Their excuse for not coming to fellowship is that they live a bit far away, but they are still willing to participate in the festival activities of the Fellowship.

        At the beginning of November last year, I received a sister at my apartment because in the fall, she graduated from her vocational school and started looking for a job. Because she lives in a relatively remote area, it is more convenient for her to live in my place. Since she has submitted a lot of resumes, she had many opportunities for interviews. Due to her efforts, God gave her a Christmas and New Year’s gift, which was to get a job contract before the end of the year, so that she could let go of a heavy burden. She was grateful that if she hadn’t stayed at my place, it would have been very difficult for her to go to the interviews, because in small places, sometimes some trains would stop running, delaying her appointments. Thank the Lord that because she lived in my place, she also helped two elderly people with their problems. After coming into contact with these old people, she realized the stamina that I need to deal with them all the time, because they all have their own personalities and are not so receptive to people’s advice.

        On Christmas Eve, I invited some brothers and sisters and non-believer to my place. Two hours before the meal began, the son of the oldest sister in the church (95 years old) called me and said that his mother wanted to come and that she had forgotten to climb the stairs to my apartment. When she came, we all helped her up two flights of stairs and took her home. Since Covid, she has lost her ability to speak because she has not been able to talk to people. Even I can’t understand what she is saying now. In addition, she often falls, and she needs to be supported when she walks. That day, because everyone talked to her, and she liked to eat, she was so happy that she didn’t want to leave until it was nearly midnight. The next day her son told me that he noticed that his mother was able to speak a whole sentence last night, and he was very happy. Unfortunately, she got a bacterial infection last week and was hospitalized for a week and she was very weak.

        Since I needed to receive a single mother and her five-year-old son on New Year’s Eve, I asked the sister mentioned above to go home in order to make room for the mother and son for a few days of vacation. Because they live in a small city in the south, she takes her son to the big city to play. She also woke her son up on New Year’s Eve to see the fireworks burning near my place. Since she moved out of the village where she had lived, her son went to a new kindergarten and found that he was a little more well-behaved and sometimes obedient. It’s a pity that the mother doesn’t believe in the Lord, and she still lacks some wisdom in educating her son.

Thanksgiving and Prayer Items:

1. I am grateful that I can receive the sister such that she found a job eventually! Pray that her body will pass the medical examination smoothly because she has some long-term illnesses and is overweight and needs to lose weight! Pray that she will be able to pass the probationary period, find a place to live in the local city, and move smoothly!
2. Thank God for using the sister to help an elderly brother make an appointment to go to the consulate to apply for a new passport! Since he doesn’t speak English, I accompanied him to the consulate in Berlin. Thanks to the Lord’s guidance, although the train was delayed (it took four and a half hours by the fast speed train) and the road we took after getting off the subway was blocked, so we had to take a detour, but we still made it to the appointment in time and completed the procedure smoothly!
3. Thank the Lord for healing the old sister who had enteritis. She returned home on Monday night! She was very weak from a week in the hospital. May the Lord help her children to know how to take care of her so that she can regain her strength!
4. Thank God for being able to accompany this single mother since I knew her and give her the opportunity to visit a big city with her son whenever she wants! May the Lord have mercy on her, let her see God’s care and guidance, and one day accept the Lord’s salvation!
5. Last Saturday, the parents of a couple came to visit from China and mentioned that after returning home they no longer had the atmosphere like here to pursue their faith, although they had already made the decision to accept Jesus’ salvation when they came to Germany many years ago. Pray that the Lord will strengthen their faith this time, lay a solid foundation so that they will continue to follow the Lord no matter where they are!

        Pray that our Lord will hear our prayers!
