不經不覺我們離開柬埔寨有4個月了！這段日子有很多事情發生令世人很擔憂：新冠肺炎的變種病毒蔓延，海地的強烈地震，中國及歐洲的水災，美國、加拿大西岸的山火等……還有最近阿富汗的動亂。

        柬埔寨的新冠肺炎感染個案在8月開始緩和，因金邊市及一些市鎮採取2星期宵禁，但政府官員仍擔心變種病毒會快速傳播，到8月22日已有999宗個案！

        求天父憐憫世人，讓這一切天災人禍都快快過去。但我們基督徒有指望，有平安！感謝神給祂的兒女之應許；祂在掌管一切，如詩篇29:10「洪水泛濫之時、耶和華坐著為王．耶和華坐著為王、直到永遠。」讓我們能儆醒禱告。

        感恩，一些以前沒有參加活石堂網上崇拜的弟兄姊妹，最近都一同來崇拜；也多了些青少年人參加網上的青年聚會！願主讓他們能渴慕神的話語，靈命增長！

        蒙神保守，我們很享受加拿大的生活，感謝祂滿滿的恩典！多謝大家給我們及柬埔寨事工的支持！請繼續為以下項目感恩及求恩。

Dear Family and friends,

        Time has passed by so fast; we left Cambodia four months already! Many things are happening that are alarming to the world: new variants of Covid 19, the strong earthquakes in Haiti that killed thousands of people, the recent unrest in Afghanistan, wildfires in the west of USA and Canada, the floods in China and Europe.

        The number of Covid 19 cases in Cambodia has been coming down in August because of the curfew in Phnom Penh and other cities. But the government is concerned that the Delta variant cases will be rising; they recorded 999 cases in 23 provinces as of August 22.

        However, as Christians we do not need to be afraid because of the promise of God in Psalm 29:10 “The Lord sat enthroned at the Flood, and the Lord sits as King forever.” Our God is still in control in the chaos of the world! All we need to do is to keep watch and pray!

        Great to see more new faces on the Living Stone Church Sunday worship in zoom. The members are eager to join the worship service in person! Praise God more young people are joining the young people meeting in zoom.

        We are doing well and enjoying the summer weather in Canada. Your support for us and the ministry in Cambodia is much appreciated. Please continue to praise God and pray for us.

        時間飛逝，轉眼間半年已成過去。我們啟程回加拿大時，柬埔寨新冠疫情開始大爆發，金邊市晚上八時至早上五時宵禁。我們上機前一星期，教會所在的社區是重災區，被列為紅區，我們住在教會宿舍。全區被封鎖，街市、店舖和銀行都關門，街道封鎖，學校停課，居民不准外出。我們擔憂那天晚上怎樣去機場，只能禱告天父差派「天使」為我們開路。之後想起一位宣教士朋友，她工作的機構有一部車子有特別車牌，可以進入紅區，於是請她幫忙載我們去機場。感恩我們在母親節前一天完成了十四天的自我隔離，回到女兒和女婿的家。

        六月一日女兒和女婿搬屋，我們忙了幾天才將家中的東西搬進新屋，然後清潔舊屋。在加拿大的暑天只有幾個月，每年四、五月氣候比較和暖時，女婿會在後花園種植蔬菜。去年暑天時天天有園中長成的蔬菜作為晚餐，但今年因為遲了播種，收成會比較少。

        金邊疫情仍嚴重，教會不能有實體崇拜，只能在網上和會友一起敬拜神，約瑟每月一次在網上講道。我們在金邊時間星期二至五早上與同工有祈禱會，星期六早上有學習神話語的時間。

        感謝你們一直以來多方的支持，你們的關心及禱告很激勵我們！以下是我們的感恩及代禱事項：

感恩：

1. 4月24日平安到達加拿大。
2. 6月1日順利搬入現在的家。
3. 透過網上可和柬埔寨活石堂弟兄姊妹一起敬拜天父，與同工一起禱告及研讀聖經。
4. 大兒子思義兩個最小的兒女，父親節那天在教會的嬰兒奉獻禮中交託給神，求神帶領、使用。

代禱：

1. 全教會都為天莉姊妹在6月8日安息主懷而傷痛，她在世時告訴家人要辦基督教的喪禮，由教會傳道人主持儀式，弟兄姊妹也來參加，可惜她的家人之後再用佛教儀式。請為她家人的救恩代求！
2. 為活石堂會友得著復興，喜愛讀經、祈禱、靈命成長！
3. 為柬埔寨求恩，最近每天都有幾百人確診。請為政府、醫護人員、病人、病逝者的家人祈禱。
4. 為因疫情失去工作、沒有收入的能得著飽足！
5. 大兒子思義正尋找新工作。

Dear Family and friends,

        Time goes by so fast; half of this year is almost gone. Because of the many cases of Covid-19 we decided to come back to Calgary sooner than expected. The area of our church in Phnom Penh where we stayed was considered the “red” district. Many factory workers in this area were infected. It means that the residents were not allowed to go out. The banks and markets were closed. On top of this, Phnom Penh had a curfew from 8 pm to 5 am.

        We were able to book our flights from Phnom penh to Calgary via Seoul and Vancouver at a reasonable price. God answered our prayer by sending an angel to take us to the airport. A missionary friend who drives a vehicle with a NGO license plate was kind enough to take us to the airport before the curfew. God is faithful and gracious to take us safely to our daughter’s home in Calgary a day before Mother’s Day after 14 day of quarantine.

        We came back just in time to help our daughter and her husband move on June 1. It is located in an older area that the houses have big front and back yards. There is enough room to raise a few bee hives and grow a garden with different berries and vegetables. We are thankful that we stay with them so we can help and watch out for each other!

• Sad to know that Tiri went to be with the Lord on June 8. She requested for a Christian funeral service before her death. But her family also did a Buddhist funeral service after. Please pray for her family’s salvation.
• For the revival of the members of our church in Phnom Penh that they will grow in Christ as mature disciples.
• There are still over a few hundred Covid-19 cases per day in Cambodia. Please pray for the government, medical teams to take care of the patients, the families with relatives who died and people with no work.
• For job hunting for our elder son, Simeon. He just quit his old job.
• Pastor Phalla and his wife Savy who are faithful to lead, teach and care for our church members.

        哈利路亞！我們的主耶穌基督已復活了！雖然新冠疫情已進入第二年，唯願主復活的大能帶來盼望。我們上一封代禱信說，過去一年柬埔寨的疫情不算嚴重，只有530人確診，無人死亡。但在2月20日開始疫症大爆發，到4月4日，短短個多月已有2,159人確診，19人死亡。政府下令學校停課，禁止在公共場所、酒吧、賭場、娛樂場所和教會舉行聚會。上星期教會附近的街市有人確診，更有人因新冠肺炎死亡。金邊最大的市場「烏亞西」有20多名商販和守衛確診，全街市有商販7千人，已有1千人接受檢疫，街市從4月4日開始要關閉14天。從4月1至14日，金邊晚上8時到翌日早上5時宵禁。

        4名中國女士從外地入境金邊，按規定應在一間五星級酒店隔離14天，但她們賄賂守衛，讓她們從消防通道離開酒店去探望朋友，又去了幾個娛樂場所。她們不知道自己已受感染，因而開始了2月20日的疫症大爆發，早前又有六名從中國來的人在確診後失蹤。這些事件導致本地人對中國人有些歧視。

        新冠疫情嚴峻，教會附近的街市有人因新冠肺炎病逝。現在柬埔寨政府提供免費疫苗，給本國人接種。我們將於4月23日回加拿大，到達溫哥華時隨即進行檢測，並在酒店隔離三天等候結果，如無感染便可回卡加利居家隔離12天。回加拿大後，我們會接種新冠疫苗。請為我們在這段時間能得到天父保守代禱。

        多謝您們的關心，代禱和支持我們在柬埔寨的事工。以下是我們感恩和求恩的事項：

感恩事項：

1. 我們兩人的身心靈都好，有主給我們的平安。平常多留在家中，在網上聚會、祈禱及教導。
2. 最近有消息傳來，一位婆婆因新冠肺炎病逝，她有一名孫子在我們的幼稚園讀書。因為經已停課個半月，因而未有傳染給其他同學。
3. 政府頒布限聚令，教會不能舉行實體聚會，本地同工和會友學會用Zoom來崇拜。從3月28日開始，有16單位參加。

祈禱事項：

1. 為那些沒有智能手機或家中沒有互聯網的會友代禱，他們未能參加網上聚會，求天父憐憫叫他們不會失去愛主的心。
2. 在疫情期間有些會友冷淡了，沒有回到教會，其中以前的宿生Bopha又因工作壓力，對神失去信心而停止了聚會。求主施恩憐憫。
3. 為教會的同工們在信心上能站立得穩，多依靠天父並得到從祂而來的愛心、力量去關顧會友禱告。
4. 在幼稚園停課期間，每月只能發百分之八十的工資給老師及員工。請記念老師，媬姆和職員身心靈的需要。
5. 柬埔寨政府官員的抗疫措施能有效及公開，市民能與政府合作。

Dear Family and friends,

        Hallelujah, our Lord Jesus has risen! The hope in the resurrected power of Jesus Christ is sustaining us through the second year of pandemic. We mentioned in our last prayer letter in February that we were safe in Cambodia from Covid 19 virus. However, since February 20 there have had 2159 cases and 19 deaths as of April 4th. Before this date we had only 530 cases and no death. So, the government asks the people not to gather in public meetings, schools, bars, and casinos. In Phnom Penh, the capital is under curfew from 8pm to 5am on April 1-14. The biggest Orussey Market near Chinatown in Phnom Penh is closed for 14 days from April 4-17.

        From the news we learned that four COVID-19 positive Chinese nationals escaped from Sokha Hotel which is one of the quarantine accommodations for new arrivals and returnees. They bribed the security guard and left the hotel. This caused chaos and panic, triggering lockdowns in six provinces. As a surge in community outbreak so the government and the health department are trying extremely hard to contain the spread.

        Because of the surge of Covid 19 cases and there are a few cases near our church where we are staying so we decided to fly back to Calgary, Canada on April 23 even though the cases in Alberta are high too. We will fly to Vancouver via Korea. Will stay in a government approved hotel for three days waiting for the Covid 19 swab test result. Then we fly back home to Calgary and self-quarantine for another 12 days. Please remember our trip that we are kept safe in God’s hand.

Praise items:

• Two of us are in good health and spirit staying home except going to the market, bank etc. We use Zoom for meetings and teaching.
• We heard that a lady who died recently because of Covid lived close to our school and had a grandkid studying at our kindergarten. God kept us safe since no school for a month and a half already.
• Our Khmer pastor is willing to learn to use Zoom for worship and prayer meetings. We have started Sunday worship since March 28 with 16 units. Some of our church members have no smart phones and some do not have internet connections.

Prayer items:

• For the spiritual life of our church members who have stopped coming to church since last year. One of them is Bopha who used to be our dorm student. Now she has a family and a steady job. But in the last few months she has encountered problems at work and she stopped coming to church.
• For our church staff that they stand firm in their faith and have great heart to care for the members through creative ways.
• For the teachers and staff of the kindergarten and nursery that they can preserve and trust God for provision. They are paid 80% of their monthly salary as the kindergarten and nursery are closed temporarily.
• For the Khmer government officials that they have wisdom and transparency in fighting Covid so that the people can go back to normal life again.

親愛的親友，主內兄姊們平安，

        新冠病毒和變種疫株在世界上橫行之時，我們為有健康的身體而感恩！自去年開始疫情至今，柬埔寨確診人數是478人，其中457人已痊癒，無人死亡。過去七天確診人數平均每天是1人。可以說我們在這裡居住比其他地區安全！基督教聯會曾為柬埔寨政府能購買疫苗籌款，現在疫苗已空運送抵金邊，柬埔寨可算在控制病毒感染方面做得不錯。

        過去兩星期看見天父的能力和信實，因祂聽禱告！有些新來託兒所的小朋友哭鬧一兩天，便會習慣新環境。有一名新來的小朋友，每早晨會哭啼半小時至一小時，聲音也大，樓上樓下都可以聽到，但卻是沒有眼淚的。媬姆盡力去安撫，但不成功；他也不願意參加班裡的活動，這樣的情況維持了兩星期多，我們曾想過將他送回家去。月甜曾私下默默為他禱告，有一天更與兩位媬姆圍著他同心禱告。天父聽禱告，作了奇事，他後來安靜下來。託兒所有五位媬姆，其中一位是未信，一位初信和一位的信心軟弱。願神在未信的人中彰顯祂的榮耀！「並叫外邦人、因他的憐憫、榮耀　神。」（羅馬書十五9a）

        我們去年九月尾已回柬埔寨，本應要在三月回加拿大，但因為加拿大的新冠疫情嚴峻，加上入境加拿大有很多限制，所以打算遲些才回去，願神開路！我們在這裡衷心謝謝你們的支持和代禱。以下是我們的感恩和求恩事項：

感恩事項：

1. 新冠病毒疫情在柬埔寨受控制，幼稚園和託兒所可以重開。舊學生多已回來上課，也有新學生來讀書。
2. 教會可以舉行實體聚會，在社交距離之指令下，限制在四十人以內。
3. 學校清潔女工心聆接受了耶穌為個人的救主，她也希望丈夫能信主。
4. 老姊妹天莉雖然有糖尿病，但她的信心堅定，每星期天參加聚會；她很希望丈夫和家人都能信主。
5. 有三位女大學生入住教會的宿舍。

祈禱事項：

1. 三位新入住宿舍的女生都未信主，為她們能信主禱告。
2. 波拿傳道的父親在紅高棉時期死在紅高棉手中，後父對他也不太好。記念他能從心底裡學習饒恕，並得著天父大能的醫治。
3. 敬拜隊需要音樂老師，教會原本的司琴伴理伴理今年讀12班，因為疫情用了網絡上課，由於在村子住生活費比較低，所以他回村子和母親居住。現在擔任司琴的還需要學習！
4. 幼稚園需要一至兩位英文老師。
5. 屋當是我們部份時間同工，一月份入讀聖經學院，功課和測驗很多。他有一個五歲的兒子，又與太太經營小生意，每天晚上十時後才能做功課；他的腸胃不好，請為他譸告。
6. 東方閃電已來柬埔寨，改名為全能神教會，用柬埔寨話在互聯網傳異端邪說。請為教會的領袖和信徒能辨別正確的真理，並在信心上站立得穩。

Dear Family and friends,

        While Pandemic and Covid-19 virus variants are still around the world we are thankful to be healthy and safe in Cambodia. So far there are 478 confirmed cases, 457 recovered and 0 deaths. From the news, the first batch of Covid-19 vaccines has arrived. Cambodia is one of the countries that is effective in controlling Covid-19. Praise His protection!

        These two weeks we have been experiencing God’s power and faithfulness in answering our prayers. There is this little boy in our nursery. He cried every morning when he came for at least half an hour. The nannies tried to take special care but could not stop his whining. He did not shed any tears but kept on whining. And that lasted for two weeks; we thought of letting him go home. Privately Liza prayed for him. It seemed better but he did not stop whining. So, Liza prayed with two other nannies who were available, and God did something miraculous; he stopped to whine to go home. God did this to bring glory to Him; one of the five nannies is not a believer yet; one is a new believer and one’s faith is weak. “So that the Gentiles may glory God for His mercy.” (Roman 15:9a)

        We have been back to Cambodia since September 2020 and we are due to go back to Canada in March. But because of the Pandemic and the variants and the international travel bans in Canada we plan to stay in Cambodia longer. May God open our way. Thank you so much for supporting us in different ways. Please continue to uphold us.

Praise items:

• Covid-19 is under control in Cambodia. Our school resumed with many old students and new ones.
• Living Stone Church has about 40 people come to worship in person.
• Som Neang, our school’s cleaning lady, accepted Jesus as her personal Savior. She wants her husband to know Jesus too.
• Kiri stands firm in her faith even though of her diabetic disease. She wants her husband and family to accept the gospel as well.
• Three new college students staying in our dorm.

Prayer items:

• Salvation for the three new ladies at our dorm.
• Phalla, the lead staff that he will completely healed from hurt from his own family. Then he can forgive others and himself with the power of God.
• Need for a music teacher to teach the worship team. The old pianist went back to his hometown to finish his grade 12 because it’s cheaper to live there. He will come back to study university in Phnom Penh next school year.
• The need of 1 or 2 English teacher for our school
• Udom, our part time staff started his two years of Bible School in January. He is overwhelmed with lots of assignments and tests plus he runs a small business with his wife.
• The Eastern Lightning Church is continually active by spreading their faith on the internet in Khmer. Pray that the church leaders and church members will be grounded in the word of God so that they can differentiate truth from false teachings.

        柬埔寨在十一月尾爆發新冠肺炎，社區感染，學校停課，宗教聚會停止，婚姻註冊也不獲批准。預計今年不能夠舉行慶祝聖誕聚會，但願信徒能唱出普世歡騰的歌聲，全地都以祂為王。「耶和華在天上立定寶座，他的權柄統管萬有。」（詩103:19）因此我們不用害怕，並且得著平安，讓我們定睛仰望耶穌。

        今年11月3日匈牙利的外交官來柬埔寨訪問一天，後來到訪泰國時發現感染新冠肺炎。他在金邊時曾接觸過的人多達一千，於是全金邊市的學校都要停課兩星期。復課後不到一星期，28日金邊爆發新冠肺炎社區感染，有40人確診。結果學校又再停課，宗教聚會要取消，市內的娛樂場所要關閉，結婚要延期舉行，直到另行通知。

感恩事項：

1. 大學生女宿舍宿生茉莉的母親患了末期癌症，但她現在好轉了些。主在她身上有奇妙的作為，她能在家中煮飯和坐電單車去教會聚會。感謝天父聽禱告，並向她施慈愛。
2. 停課期間，學校的老師可以有時間進修，媬姆可以參加查經小組。其中有媬姆詩唐接受耶穌為主和救主。
3. 教會同工們在星期二至五早上有查經祈禱會，下午有專題查經。

祈禱事項：

1. 祈求天父叫新冠疫情在社區感染能早日受控制，生活能正常運作。教會能重開實體聚會，學校能早日開課。
2. 幼稚園老師淑邦有追求真道的心，她有心讀聖經，祈禱她能早日信主。
3. 教會同工想在明年1月7日舉行一天的退修會，祈求主對我們說話。
4. 今年教會計劃在12月27日慶祝聖誕，但因疫情可能要取消。
5. 請為天莉老姊妹的身體祈禱，她本來有糖尿病，現在牙痛，但因疫情不敢去看牙醫。

Dear Family and friends,

        As Christmas is coming soon, can we sing “Joy to the World” despite what is happening around us? The pandemic still haunts us; when is everything back to normal we may ask. As believers in God we believe that He is in sovereign control of all things. “The Lord has established His throne in heaven, And His kingdom rules over all (Psalm 103:19). That removes our fear and anxiety but instead it gives us inner peace.

        November is a hard month for us in Cambodia. On the 3rd because of the trade visit of the Hungarian minister who was tested positive with Covid 19 when landing in Thailand. There were 4 Cambodians tested positive. Then on 28th there was a community outbreak in Phnom Penh and other provinces. There have been 40 people tested positive so far. All schools were ordered to close for 2 weeks, entertainment centres, karaoke, gathering have been closed, and they do not issue new marriage licenses. As of now we have a new memo from the government that schools, religious gatherings, entertainment centers are closed until further notice.

        Let us fix our eyes on Jesus.

• Our dorm lady, Dy Jasmine’s Mom who has cancer is doing better. She can cook for herself, ride the motorbike to church. Praise God and thanks for your prayers.
• Because of suspension of schools, our teachers upgrade themselves in teachings. The nannies in the nursery can have time in learning the Biblical truth. “Sithon” accepted the Lord as Savior!
• Besides the morning Bible study for our pastoral staff, we do topical Bible study in the afternoon.

Prayer items:

• The community outbreak on Covid 19 can be under control soon so school and church can reopen.
• Sorphorn, one of the teachers is seeking and has been reading the Bible. Pray that she can trust Jesus as her Savior.
• Our church staff will have a retreat on January 7 which is a holiday. Pray for openness to God’s words and one another.
• Christmas celebration is scheduled on 27th. It is likely we have to cancel it due to the community outbreak. Pray that our members will not be disappointed.
• Please pray for Tiri’s health who has diabetes and toothache. Because of Covid 19 she is hesitant to see a dentist.

        從金邊向您們問安！今年因新冠肺炎之疫情，我們從加拿大回柬埔寨的路程有許多挑戰。原先在9月19日回金邊的航班取消了兩次。柬埔寨入境需要有到境前72小時檢疫報告和醫生證明才可上機。到達金邊時需持有新冠肺炎醫療保額五萬美元的保單。在天父的帶領下，我們能在28日在卡加利上機，經溫哥華和台北，在9月30日回到金邊。在機場要交2千元美金作按金，作為到步後檢測、住酒店和其他費用。辦理入境手續後，我們隨即作新冠肺炎檢測，接著坐專車去政府指定酒店隔離，兩天後檢測報告顯示我們及同機的乘客沒有感染，我們便回家隔離14天。在家居隔離第13天要再作新冠肺炎檢測，兩天後檢測沒感染才可拿回按金的餘額。多謝您們在禱告中記念我們。

        很高興能在教會見到同工和會友們。活石堂沒有線上崇拜，會友家中多沒有無線上網（WiFi）。教會已在7月開始實體崇拜，但人數受限制。現在只有40人左右回來崇拜，會友帶回來的小朋友約有20至30人、其中小的有2至3歲，大的約有15歲，我們需要分兩班授課，但只有一位老師。請為可以有多一位老師祈禱。

        新光幼稚園在三月時停課，老師和職員每星期二、五回來清潔學校、備課及查經。10月1日復課，感恩有很多舊生回來，亦有不少新學生。可是，在15日我們收到教育局的消息要停課14天，因在10月3日時有匈牙利的外交官來柬埔寨訪問一天，之後他去了泰國確診新冠肺炎。他在柬埔寨時曾接觸9百多人，有一千六百人因這次事件接受檢疫，只有四人確診，所以教育部在19日宣布在23日學校可以復課！

感恩事項：

1. 在加拿大亞省的新冠肺炎疫情爆發很嚴重。女婿工作的地方有同工確診，但檢疫後他和女兒都沒有感染，感謝主！
2. 當我們回到金邊居家隔離14天時，有時間在網上聽道，得益不少，已開始與同工分享當中的信息，一起學習！

祈禱事項：

1. 柬埔寨的教會已可以重開實體聚會，但限制聚會時間不可太長，參加者要保持距離。請記念疫苗早日面世，以至聚會不受限制。
2. 請為我們需要多一位兒童主日學老師禱告。
3. 教會有兩位年長姊妹，天莉和天蘭，天莉已在今年1月30日受洗加入教會。但天蘭不來聚會，連去探望她都不歡迎。請為她禱告。
4. 請記念信心軟弱的肢體。特別因疫情而經濟有困難的，都能以愛主為首。
5. 請為一位住在女生宿舍的宿生的母親禱告，她患了末期癌症。

Dear Family and friends,

        Greetings from Cambodia! This year because of the pandemic it makes travelling extremely complicated and long. We were scheduled to come back on September 19. But the fight with Eva Air via Taiwan was cancelled 2 times. Finally, we were rescheduled on September 28. Then we needed to get Covid test with the doctor’s letter and signature saying that we were negative 72 hours before our arrival in Cambodia. Afterwards, we had to buy medical insurance for Covid. In case we had Covid, it would cover our expenditure up to US$50,000. In God’s best timing, we were able to board the flights from Calgary Canada to Vancouver, Taipei, and Phnom Penh.  Because of God’s grace there was no one tested positive on the flight. We were free to move around after 14 days of quarantine. Appreciate your prayers for our travel. Thank you.

        So happy to see our co-workers, church members that they are well, and they serve the Lord with a joyful heart. It is wonderful to see children and toddlers who came back to school on October 1st. Many of them are old students but some are new.

        Sonlight Kindergarten was reopened on October 1st after it was closed since March. The Hungarian Minister of Trade and team came to Phnom Penh for a visit. The Minister of trade was tested positive when he landed in Thailand. There were over 1,000 people directly and indirectly contacted him. So far there are 4 Cambodians tested positive. So, all schools and entertainment centres are closed for 2 weeks. On November 19, the education department announced that all schools can be opened on 23rd.

        Please continue to praise our heavenly father and pray for our needs.

• Living Stone Church has been meeting together for 2 months in 2 sessions on Sundays.
• Four days a week we pray with our church staff in Phnom Penh at the same time.
• Heard that there is a revival starting in Cambodia!
• We can connect with the local churches in our city.

• We are returning to Cambodia on 25 September. We need to have tests of Covid 19 before and after the flights. Please pray for a smooth and safe journey.
• The big international schools are reopening in September. The government schools are reopening grade 9 and 12 in September and other grades in November. Smaller private schools, including Sonlight Kindergarten need to wait for further notice. Please pray that our kindergarten will reopen soon.
• Our teachers at Sonlight Kindergarten will start the Alpha Course on 11 September. May the Lord use this to bring the non-believers to God’s fold.

親愛的親友，主內兄姊們平安：

        時間過得很快，我們已回加拿大6個月了。有人問我們在這些日子中是否過得很悶；我們雖然常在家中，但仍與柬埔寨的同工和住在不同城市的親友保持聯絡，大家互相鼓勵，互相代求。除此之外我們有更多時間看聖經，禱告和看書。在世界新聞中看到各地的新冠肺炎消息，森林大火，巨大水災，種族仇恨的示威，暴動和搶劫等事時，我們知道這世界已變了，但基督徒在耶穌裡深信祂仍然坐著為王。

        我們想在這裡分享一個值得鼓舞的故事。「享尼」是一個九歲大的女孩子，自小跟信主的父母來活石堂，三歲時在新光幼稚園讀書，六歲時入讀柬埔寨的公立小學。最近她的學校舉行校際英文故事比賽，她選用聖誕節的意義為題材。她的父親問她為何講這題目，她說是因柬埔寨的小朋友大多數未知道聖誕節的真正意義。她從天父創造這世界後，人犯罪而帶出天父的兒子耶穌降世為人，是要將世人從罪中拯救出來的好消息。從她父親轉寄來的視頻，看見她有膽量在眾人面前為主耶穌作見證；但願天父興起更多柬埔寨的兒童和青年人，向他們的同胞作鹽和光。

        在這裡為你們在過去的年日支持我們而感恩，請繼續記念我們。

感恩事項：

1. 金邊活石堂在過去兩個月中重開聚會，因疫程政府限制聚會人數，所以分兩堂崇拜。
2. 我們二人可以一星期四天與教會的同工們同時祈禱。
3. 在疫情中，聽聞柬埔寨有復興現象。
4. 我們能跟本地教會用Zoom來聯繫。

祈禱事項：

1. 因有急需事宜要處理，我們準備在9月25日回柬埔寨。要在起飛前檢疫和取得醫生簽發的無感染証明書，到達金邊後要再檢疫和自費在指定的旅店住兩天等候結果。如飛機有一人感染，大家便要在指定酒店隔離14天。如無人感染我們可以回家隔離14天，之後再檢疫一次。請為我們在檢疫的過程能順暢平安禱告。
2. 金邊的國際學校會在九月底實體復課。公立中學9及12年班會先在九月復課，請記念新光幼稚園可以早日復課，並能滿足社交距離及防疫的要求。
3. 高愛心姊妹9月11日開始為幼稚園老師們開辨啟發課程，請為未信的老師能明白福音祈禱。

Dear Family and friends,

        Time went by so fast! We have been in Canada for 6 months already. People often ask if we are bored during these months. Even though we stay home most of the time, we can contact our co-workers in Cambodia and our friends in different parts of the world. We share and encourage each other with God’s words. Personally, we have more time to meditate on the word of God, read books and pray. There have been so many incidents of riots, demonstrations, looting, flooding, and wildfire on top of the pandemic of Covid19. The world has been and will be totally different. As Christians we have hope in God who still reigns as King.

        We want to share a story that is uplifting. Honey is a 9-year-old girl at our church in Cambodia. She has been attending our church with her parents since she was born. She attended our kindergarten when she turned 3 years old. At age 6 she went to a Khmer primary school. Recently her school hosted an inter school story telling contest in English. She chose the story of Christmas. Her father asked her why this was chosen. She said that many Khmer children do not know the real meaning of Christmas. Starting from God’s creation of this world she shared because of men’s sin that Jesus, the Son of God was sent to this world as our Savior. She did a wonderful job. We are so encouraged by her boldness to share about Jesus. May God raise up more children and youth to be light and salt to their own people.

        We are very thankful for your support through all these years. Please continue to praise God for His faithful work and pray for our needs.

        從加拿大卡其利市向您們問安！我們3月中在加拿大尚未封城前回到這裡，近來新冠疫情緩和，這裡已漸漸解封。女兒欣義工作的商店已重開營業，女婿工作的工程公司已回復在寫字樓上班，但工作量不多，有時只在上午上班。雖然是部份解封，但仍要保持社交距離，所以也不能與兒孫們太接近。

        這次全球性的疫情引致很多商店和行業關門，柬埔寨也有不少弟兄姊妹的工作受影響，生活出現困難。整個世界在封城之下改變了，萬事都不能永存，只有天父的愛和信實永不改變。

        「耶穌基督，昨日，今日一直到永遠是一樣的。」（希伯來書十三8）我們只需剛強壯膽來到天父面前，不要疑惑，要存心仰望祂，相信祂仍然掌管萬有。「我們曉得萬事都互相效力、叫愛　神的人得益處、就是按他旨意被召的人。」（羅馬書八28）在萬變的世代中，天父是我們生命的錨，讓我們單單事奉祂、依靠祂。

讚美事項：

1. 柬埔寨宗教部允准教會7月開始在禮拜堂集體崇拜聚會，活石堂地區的區長指示只能安排10人或以下的人數。波拿傳道安排主日早上有三堂聚會，下午有青年聚會。
2. 我們每星期二至五與金邊的同工在同一時間為柬埔寨的領袖，教會的領袖求復興，也為個人需要等事項禱告仰望天父。我們雖在遠方，但有無牆教會的感覺。
3. 三月封城時，女兒暫時停職，有兩個多月留在家中，感謝主她可以拿取失業金。女婿有三個月轉為居家辦公，於是我們每天有多點時間相處，享受家庭樂。天父補償了女兒10歲開始去寄宿學校與我們分離的時間。

禱告事項：

1. 活石堂有年長姊妹兩人——天莉（Tiri）和天蘭（Tiran）。天莉在2020年1月受洗加入教會。她們二人身體欠佳，天蘭的腳無力要坐輪椅返教會，請記念她們。
2. 柬埔寨教育部正在審核金邊十五間已註冊的國際學校在八月開課的可能性，但政府學校會在十一月送水節後才能復課。
3. 祈禱新光幼稚園能早日復課。
4. 我們計劃在9月21日回柬埔寨。現時柬埔寨政府要求旅客提供上機之前72小時要沒有新冠肺炎的檢驗報告；如乘搭時航機有人證實受到感染，全機乘客要在政府指定的地方隔離14天，另每人需要帶備美金三千元按金作為開支擔保，又要求旅客購買美金五萬元保額的旅遊保險。

Dear Family and friends,

        Greetings from Calgary, Canada! We have been here since March before the lockdown in Canada. Staying home except going for walks around our neighborhood gives us more time to read God’s word and pray. Occasionally we see our sons and grandchildren. Because of social distancing, we are cautious not to hug and kiss them!!

        The world is and will be very different during and after the pandemic. It is only God’s love and faithfulness remain the same. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8) So we need to come to God with boldness and trust Him because He is still in control of all that is happening in this world. “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28) Therefore we need to love Him by doing what He wants us to do.

Praise items:

• Starting in July the Living Stone Church in Phnom Penh reopened for worship. According to the District Chief, there is a limit of 10 people gathering together. Pastor Phalla organized three services on Sunday morning and one youth meeting in the afternoon.
• We have been able to pray with our staff in Cambodia four days a week at the same time. We feel closer with each other.
• Living with Lydia, our daughter and her husband, Patrick gives us more time to talk and share about life. She was temporarily laid off from work for about two months. This is to make up the time while she was away in boarding school when she was 10 years old.

Prayer items:

• There are 2 sisters, Tiri and Tiran in our Living Stone Church who are not well. Tiri was baptized in Jan 2020.
• We heard that 15 international schools may reopen in August. The Department of Education will evaluate their facilities before making the final approval. As for the government schools they will reopen in November after the Water Festival.
• For our Sonlight Kindergarten, we would like to reopen as soon as possible.
• We are planning to return to Cambodia in mid-September. The Cambodia government requires foreigners to carry travel insurance which will pay up to US$50,000 and US$3,000 to carry with them for medical needs for Covid 19 related matters.

        從加拿大卡其利向您們問安！「你們要休息、要知道我是　神。」（詩篇四十六10a）新冠病毒肺炎疫情入侵全球之時，我們要在主裡面「休息」。這節聖經正對我們說話，因為疫情引起了無奈、挫折、健康受威脅、家人離世和失業等不如意的事。「休息」在原文是「放鬆」、「鬆弛」的意思，因此我們可以將一切的重擔和憂慮放下，在「休息」中看見天父在作事。而這世界要尊榮祂，「我必在外邦中被尊崇、在遍地上也被尊崇。」（詩篇四十六10b）

        我們在三月中回到卡其利之後，卡其利便因新冠肺炎疫症而封城。與女兒和女婿住在一間租來的舊屋子，後院有地方可以種菜。加拿大封城後因社交隔離少出門，但主日可以與女兒和女婿在家中參加網上崇拜；也可以每天在網上參加柬埔寨的祈禱會，為新冠肺炎、教會復興、金邊因封城而引起的物價高漲等事祈禱。我們也參加活石堂每週四天的同工祈禱會，為自己、家人、政府、教會、學校、復興、疫情帶來的影響和會友的需要代求。只可惜不能親身經歷實體的崇拜，肢體的交通和與家人見面。

        多謝你們的關心，禱告和金錢上的支持。請為以下的事感恩和求恩；

感恩事項：

1. 現代的科技使我們可以跟在柬埔寨的同工、會友和基督徒聯絡，用天父的話語鼓勵他們，為他們禱告。
2. 教會成立了網上群組，彼此關懷，鼓勵和分享神的話語及屬靈心得。
3. 4月26日我們第六名孫兒出世，是大兒子思義和小鳳的第四名孩子。出生時是順產，母子平安，但超聲波顯示有一個腎有問題，要見泌尿科醫生。
4. 柬埔寨有122人確診新冠肺炎，無人死亡。

求恩事項：

1. 新冠肺炎疫情能早日完結。特別為已解封的城市不會有第二波的疫情，盼望疫苗早日面世。
2. 為世界各地受疫情而產生身心靈上的影響能得著醫治。也記念因這病去世的人的親人，不少人因疫情而失業的需要。
3. 柬埔寨教育部決定在11月新學期開始時學校才復課。請為私立學校能較早復課，因為停課時新光幼稚園沒有學費收入，但要支付教師、媬姆和職員的薪金。
4. 為活石堂的會友們能看見人無法控制疫情，因而更加依靠創天造地的天父而得著復興。

Dear Family and friends,

        Greetings from Calgary, Canada! “Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10a) During this global pandemic, this verse is truly relevant to us as Christians. Because of many unknowns we have frustrations, fears over our heath, families, jobs and future. But God, our Father wants us to rest in Him because He knows what He is doing and what is going on. It is comforting to know that “I will be exalted among the nations; I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalms 46:10b) Through all these hard times, uncertainties, frustrations we know God will be lifted high above the world.

        We have been in Calgary, Canada since mid-March just before the lockdown. Staying with our daughter and her husband in a rented older house is a blessing. So, we have space for a vegetable garden.  Staying home now we can spend more time on reading God’s words, books and praying. We join a Khmer prayer group with prayer emphasis on the Covid-19 in Cambodia, revival of the nation and churches. Another group is with Living Stone church staff and members. Also, we join worship and prayer meetings in the local church.  In order to keep our body in better shape we do exercises regularly. The only drawback is that we cannot spend time with our loved ones and friends because of social distancing!

• We can keep in touch with our staff, members and Christians in Cambodia through electronic media, pray with them and encourage them with the words of God.
• The staff of our church and school have started chat groups so that they can care for and encourage each other through God’s words and spiritual songs.
• Our number 6 grandchild, Mattias was born to Simeon and Phung on April 26th. Mother and son are well except the baby shows a problem on one of his kidneys from ultrasound. Now he is waiting to see an urologist. Please pray for complete healing!

• the global pandemic to be under control and over soon.
• For the healing and protection for all of us globally physically, mentally and emotionally. Comfort to those who lost loved ones, assurance to those who are fearful, losing jobs.
• The Ministry of Education of Cambodia announced that schools will reopen in November. Pray that private schools can be opened sooner so that we can have income for our staff at Sonlight Kindergarten.
• For revival, many more will come to realize that men cannot control our circumstances nor future. As a result, they will turn to trust our Father who made the universe, and everything is under His command.
