親愛的主內弟兄姊妹們，平安：
從12月開始，我們看到不少房屋和商店都擺設聖誕裝飾和燈飾，大家忙著為他們所愛的人購買禮物和籌劃慶祝活動。作為基督徒，我們知道耶穌的誕生是我們每年慶祝聖誕的原因。「必有童女懷孕生子，給他起名叫以馬內利，意思是神與我們同在。」（馬太福音一23）
世界上的事物並不長久，當我們寄望於這個世界時，我們會陷入恐懼和不安。但當我們把希望寄託在耶穌身上時，我們可以相信祂永遠是一樣的；昨日、今日，一直到永遠。唯獨祂是我們的磐石和拯救；祂是我們的保障，永不會動搖。
這個聖誕節讓我們在主耶穌基督裡，更加體驗真正的平安和喜樂！非常感謝你們以不同的方式支持我們，尤其是你們的祈禱。請繼續因祂所做的一切來讚美神，並為我們的需要祈禱。
感恩事項：
- 儘管最近有極端寒冷的天氣和流感，主賜我們身體健康。
- 我們的長子思義和家人一個月內先後染上流感，但現在都已康復了。
- 在過去的兩星期，我們在金邊的活石教會有5位新朋友來參加主日崇拜。
- 天父聽了我們的祈禱，在同工波拿和沙域的心中動工；他們更有耐心，更了解彼此的感受。
祈禱事項：
- 十一月時我們寫了一篇關於「如何向佛教徒分享福音」的文章，並已翻譯成柬埔寨語。祈求上帝使用它來帶領更多人歸向基督。
- 請為5位來聚會的新朋友禱告，願天父帶領他們繼續來聚會，用心聽道，多認識神。
- 金邊市解封之後，未能回復疫情前的聚會人數。求主帶領會友回來敬拜神，認識神的話。
- 約瑟將於明年1月4日和11日做白內障手術。請為手術順利和約瑟能早日康復。

約瑟，月甜上
Dear family, brothers and sisters in Christ,
Starting in December we can see the houses and stores are decorated with Christmas lights and ornaments. People are busy buying gifts and planning celebrations for their loved ones. As Christians we know the birth of Jesus is the reason why we celebrate Christians each year. In Matthew 1:23 “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel which means, God with us.”
The world is uncertain and unstable, and when we put our hopes in the things of this world, we can be overcome by fear. But as we place our hope in Jesus, we can trust that He is always the same; yesterday, today, and forever. He alone is our rock and our salvation; He is our fortress and will not be shaken.
This Christmas let us experience hope and joy in our Lord, Jesus Christ! Thank you so much for supporting us in different ways, especially your prayers. Please continue to praise God for what He has done and pray for our needs.
Praise items:
- Despite the extreme cold weather and flu, God keeps us well and healthy.
- Simeon, our eldest son and family are all well now after fighting with flu for a month.
- There have been 5 newcomers to our Living Stone Church in Phnom Penh in the last 2 weeks.
- God answered our prayers to work in the hearts of our Khmer workers, Phalla and Savy; they are more patient, and they understand more of each other’s feelings.
Prayer items:
- Last month we wrote an article on “How to share the gospel to Buddhists” and it was translated into Khmer. Please pray that God would use it to bring more people to Christ.
- Please pray for the 5 newcomers that they will come regularly with an open heart to know more about God.
- Some members of our church stopped coming due to the pandemic. Pray that they will come back to worship God and learn about His words.
- Joseph will have cataract operation on January 4th and 11th. Please pray for wisdom for the doctor and for Joseph’s speedy recovery.
