        這個月對我們來說是一個新的里程碑。我們從柬埔寨的服事崗位退休後，一直住在女兒和女婿的家。很感恩這段時間能和他們一起生活，也適應卡加利的新環境。如今女兒打算往歐洲進修，他們將會把屋子賣掉，所以我們需要找地方租住。2月14日，我們搬進了位於卡加利西北部一座三層高大廈的一個單位。感謝主，搬屋那天天氣晴朗，溫暖如春。兩天後一場大風雪吹襲卡加利，氣溫驟降至攝氏零下30度。天父真是良善信實，保守我們順利搬家！

        我們衷心感謝大家的支持與禱告。請繼續讚美天父在我們生命中以及在柬埔寨活石堂的作為，也請為我們的需要禱告。謝謝。

感恩事項：

• 我們租用的單位很不錯，有兩間臥室和兩間浴室。每天早上我們都可以看到美麗的日出，使我們讃美天父奇妙的創造！
• 在柬埔寨的本地同工已經放下了彼此間的分歧，在活石堂同心事奉。
• 活石堂傳道同工和一些信徒每月一次組隊去離開金邊100公里的茶膠省基里旺村作福音外展，有多人信主。

禱告事項：

• 請為參加活石堂的會友和新朋友禱告，祈求他們有渴求真道的心。現在有些家庭搬去離教會很遠的新區而沒回來聚會，求主堅定他們的信心，繼續到附近的教會聚會。
• 活石堂同工渥當的父親主懷安息，2月11日在茶膠省基里旺村下葬。請記念渥當的母親和家人能得著安慰。
• 茶膠省需的外展事工需要購置一輛福音車。另外，由於現時借用的地方靠近廟宇，不方便做崇拜，需要另找一塊地來建造教會、兒童和青少年中心。
• 求神帶領茶膠省的開拓，預備各樣需要，使村民認識基督，明白救恩，得著祝福。
• 求神帶領新宣教士，在新地區開荒，使福音惠及柬人，帶來恩典、盼望。

Dear family, brothers and sisters in Christ,

        Happy Chinese New Year to you from Calgary Canada! This month is a new milestone for us. We stayed with our daughter and her husband after retiring from our ministry in Cambodia. We’re thankful that we could live with them adjusting to the new life in Calgary. Our daughter is planning to further her studies in Europe, and they will sell their house. So we have to find another place to live and God provides a new home for us! On the 14th of this month we moved into a rented condo in the northwest of the city. Praise the Lord, it was a nice day with sunshine and warm weather; two days later there’s a big snowstorm with strong winds blowing which made the temperature drop to – 30 degrees Celsius. God indeed is so good and faithful!

        We’re grateful for all your support and prayers. Please continue to praise God for His work in our lives and in the Living Stone Church, also pray for our needs too. Thank you.

Praise items:

• For the nice apartment that we are renting. There are two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a shower. Every morning, we enjoy looking at the sunrise that reminds us of God’s wonderful creation!
• Our local workers have reconciled their differences in serving in the Living Stone They work together with humility and compassion.
• The outreach program in Takeo province is going on well. The pastoral staff, and some church members serve there once a month.

Pray Requests:

• Pray for new people coming to the Living Stone Church. A few families have moved to the new suburban area.
• For the family of our staff, Udom whose father went to be with Jesus in heaven, especially for his mom. May God’s comfort and peace be with his family.
• The outreach ministry at Takeo – we need to buy a gospel van for the journey, and land for building the meeting place. We will let you know the details soon.
• Pray that God will lead the development of Takeo province, provide all kinds of needs, enable the villagers to know Christ, understand salvation, and receive blessings.
• New missionaries are needed to pioneer new territories, that the gospel may benefit the Cambodian people and bring them grace and hope.

        我們從加拿大卡加利向你們問安！這裡雖然寒冷，但想到聖誕節即將到來，我們心中充滿了歡欣。大約兩千年前，我們的救主耶穌基督降生，為世人帶來和平與希望。環顧世界，戰爭、地震、洪水和火災肆虐，人們感到絕望和痛苦。然而，當我們信靠耶穌時，即使身處苦難之中，也能得到平安喜樂。「那天使對他們說：不要懼怕！我報給你們大喜的信息，是關乎萬民的；因今天在大衛的城裡，為你們生了救主，就是主基督。」（路二10-11）

        在這聖誕佳節的忙碌之中，讓我們停下腳步，默想天父的愛——祂為了世人犧牲了自己的兒子，使凡信耶穌的人都能得永生！對大多數人來說，今生短暫而痛苦，但我們在基督裡擁有盼望與平安。

• 12月7日活石堂組織外展團隊在茶膠省舉行了聖誕節慶祝活動，共有350人參加，其中約250人接受耶穌為救主。
• 感謝天父在過去一年裡賜給我們的恩典、指引和健康的身體。

禱告事項：

• 為柬埔寨泰國衝突禱告。願神的公義和憐憫彰顯，並安慰受戰事影響的人。
• 許多基督徒向八個省份約四十萬撤離的民眾表達關懷和愛心，向他們寄送生活必需品。請為所有受影響的人禱告，願他們敞開心來接受耶穌的救恩。
• 為活石堂12月28日的聖誕節慶祝活動禱告，求聖靈作工，使用講員能分享聖誕的意義。

Dear family, brothers and sisters in Christ,

        Greetings from Calgary, Canada! It’s very cold here but our hearts are filled with joy and warmth with the thought that Christmas is around the corner. About 2000 years ago Jesus Christ, our Savior was born to bring peace and hope to this world. When we look around the world there are wars, earthquakes, flooding and fires people are hopeless and miserable. However, when we trust in Jesus, we can experience joy amid all these. “But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.” (Luke 2:10, 11)

        Let us pause among the busyness during this Christmas season to reflect on the love of God who sacrificed His own Son to the world so that whoever believes in Jesus will have eternal life! For most people this life is short and painful, but we have hope and peace in Christ.

        We are grateful to have you who uphold us in prayer to enhance the ministry of God, and to support in different ways. Please continue to praise God and pray for us.

Praise items:

• On December 7th the Livingston Stone Church team held a Christmas celebration in Takeo province. 350 people came and about 250 of them received Jesus as their Savior.
• For God’s grace and guidance, and good health we have had in the last year.

Pray Requests:

• For stopping the Cambodia-Thailand Conflict. May God’s justice and mercy be manifested and the comfort for the people involved.
• Many Christians are showing their care and love to 431 thousand displaced people in 8 provinces by sending daily necessities and meeting them to grieve with them. Pray for peace and for those who are affected and will open their hearts to the saving grace of Jesus.
• For the Christmas celebration of Living Stone Church on December 28th. Pray for the preparation and the working of the Holy Spirit on that day.

        我們剛剛在加拿大慶祝了感恩節，有很多值得我們感恩的事情：我們的家人、朋友和同工。最值得一提是慶祝我們的差會——中華福音使命團CEM成立50週年慶典，我們到泰國參加了宣教士退修會和泰國全體信徒的慶祝活動。泰國是我們宣教事工的起點，因為郭誠先生願意接觸泰國北部的人，把他們帶到耶穌的救贖恩典之下。後來天父差遣了一位年輕人，現在我們的國際總幹事朱昌錂牧師來協助他。神在50年中信實地帶領宣教士到泰國服侍，現在我們在15個國家工場有42位宣教士。

        很高興能見到來自泰國各教會的會眾，以及來自不同國家的同工和宣教士。在泰北芳縣的中華福音使命團金禧廣場舉行的五十週年慶典崇拜，有千多人參加。到泰國之前一星期，我們有機會返回柬埔寨，這是我們的第二個家。很高興見到舊朋友，也認識了教會裡的新朋友。約瑟跟六人團隊去離開金邊100公里的茶膠省家訪傳福音，我們探了十家人，有九人接受耶穌。茶膠省比較貧窮，有需要扶助兒童上學。回加拿大之前，我們就藉此機會路經台灣探望朋友，一起渡過了許多歡樂時光，留下了美好的回憶！

Dear family, brothers and sisters in Christ,

        In Canada we just celebrated Thanksgiving Day. We have so much to be grateful for: our family, friends and coworkers. The highlight is the celebration of our mission, CEM’s 50th anniversary. We attended the missionary retreat and the celebration of all believers in Thailand where our mission work started. We’re reminded that because Mr. Kwok’s willingness to reach out to the people in Northern Thailand brings them to the saving grace of Jesus. Then God sent a young man, Calvin Chu, our General Director to help him in this endeavor. God is faithful in bringing missionaries to serve in Thailand and now we have 42 missionaries in 14 countries.

        It’s amazing to see different members from all churches in Thailand and coworkers and missionaries from all different countries to celebrate the 50th anniversary. The other highlight is to be able to visit our second home in Cambodia for a week. So great to see friends and meet new people in our church. Joseph was able to go with the team to see the possible work in Takeo province.

        Before coming back to Canada, we took the opportunity to visit friends in Taiwan. Many memories and fun times together!

        Thanks for your support and prayers for us personally and our church in Phnom Penh. Please continue to praise God and remember our prayer requests.

• Thank God for His grace, which has established the missionary work of the China Evangelistic Mission over the past 50 years.
• During our week in Cambodia, we had the opportunity to meet with members of Living Stone Church and visit unbelieving families in Takeo Province. We were deeply grateful to see some of the members of Living Stone Church grow in the Lord. After visiting 10 homes in Takeo Province, nine people received Jesus as their savior.
• We also had the opportunity to visit supporters in Taipei and Kaohsiung. We traveled throughout Taiwan.

Pray Requests:

• For a full recovery from the flu, we contracted in Thailand. Pray that the Lord protects us from the virus in Calgary.
• Pray for Udom’s ministries in our church after he graduates from Bible school this month.
• Pray for our outreach in Takeo Province, following up with new believers. We need a meeting place for our new work in Takeo Province.

        Greetings from Calgary, Canada. Hope this letter finds you well. Looking back on the last two months we are thankful by God’s grace for us. He provided us a chance to attend a prayer retreat with a group of 12 at the end of July. It was held at a retreat centre about an hour drive from our city. We enjoyed God’s creation and His presence in our 2 days and 3 nights time. Each of us shared our stories and experiences together with laughter and tears. We spent lots of time in prayer and getting alone with our Heavenly Father. God reminds me, Liza, again to be more gracious and sensitive to other’s needs, not to judge them by their actions. Praise God for His mercy and love.

        Thank you so much for your prayers and support for us. Continue to uplift us in prayers. The following are our praise and prayer requests:

Praise for:

• The members of Living Stone Church are growing stronger in faith and willing to support the church’s needs; one lady bought a new keyboard for the church.
•  We are doing well, keeping healthy, able to do exercise every day.
•  Able to join a prayer retreat that we can rest in Him.

Pray for:

•  Outreach work to the province of Takeo – the staff is planning to go there on September.
• The discipleship program for the teenagers. Children in our church have grown up and there are more teenagers coming in recent months.
• Our mission, CEM, will celebrate its 50th anniversary in October. We will be joining the missionary retreat in Thailand. So, we take this opportunity to visit our church family for 10 days before the retreat. Pray for God’s blessings on the anniversary celebration, and that we have a great time sharing God’s goodness with the members of Living Stone church in Phnom Penh.

        我們從加拿大卡加利向你們問安！夏天終於來了！我們正享受著燦爛的陽光及和暖的天氣，雖然有時會下點小雨，但這對我們的花園和菜園來說卻是必要的。不少花朵已盛開，菜園裡的一些蔬菜也已經成熟，可以採摘了。我們可以透過不同的季節和各種植物來欣賞上帝的創造！

        在四月的通訊中，我們提到在距離金邊約3小時車程的茶膠省（Takeo）所進行的外展活動。回應非常熱烈；許多人願意接受耶穌為他們個人的救主。在這兩個月裡，我們的同工們討論如何幫助他們堅持信心。他們想出了不同的方法，最大的挑戰是，如果我們每個月去一次，那裡沒有遮蓋的地方讓他們聚集在一起。感謝神，渥當（Udom）——我們的兼職同工——的父親在茶膠省有一塊地可以讓我們搭帳篷或簡單的聚會場所。在六月的同工會議上，他們決定先探訪曾參加聚會的人，以便我們了解他們的需要及他們對基督信仰的反應。高姑娘（Angel）在四月沒有去茶膠省，她想去看看那裡的情況，是否可以開設每週一次的中文班。

• 今年母親節主日，活石堂在崇拜後舉行午餐聚會，同時也慶祝父親節。有些年青人在這聚會中向父母說出心底話，及與父母和好。
• 有兩個青年人曾大打出手，他們已和好。
• 我們曾為勝戶Seng Hour切除頸部的囊腫的手術祈禱；感謝上帝，手術已完成，而且囊腫是良性的。
• 在茶膠省的外展工作：
  • 探訪曾來聚會的人。
  • 能有作為聚會的地方，四月時是借用渥當姨媽的地方；但附近有佛寺，柬埔寨宗教部有指令不容教會太近佛寺。
  • 計劃以中文班吸引年青人來讀書。
• 為在我們教會附近的社區開展活動禱告。高姑娘中文班的學生告訴她，說有班朋友每週六在附近的學校相聚。高姑娘計劃去結識他們，希望他們會來一起學習中文。

Dear family, brothers and sisters in Christ,

        Greetings from Calgary, Canada!  Summer has finally arrived here!  We are enjoying the sunshine and nice weather though it rains once a while which our lawns and gardens need. The flowers are blossoming, and we have harvested some of the vegetables which are so fresh and tasty. We can see God’s creation with different seasons and the enjoyment of different kinds of vegetation!

        In our April newsletter we mentioned the outreach of Living Stone Church to Takeo which is about a 3 hour’s drive from Phnom Penh. The response is overwhelming; there were lots of hands to receive Jesus as their personal Saviour. During these 2 months our staff has discussed how to follow up with their faith. They have come up with different ways to do this. The biggest challenge is that there’s no covered areas to gather them together if we can go there once a month. Praise God Udom’s father, our part time staff has a land for us to build a tent or a simple building for meeting. In our June staff meeting they decided that they should start with visiting the people who came to the outreach program so that we can know their needs and their faith in Christ Jesus. Also, Miss Gao can go to see the place and people there since she was not able to go in April. She wants to see if it’s possible to start a Chinese class there every week.

        We are grateful for God’s work in Living Stone church being the light in Phnom Penh and other parts of Cambodia. Also, thankful that you are supporting our mission in different ways. Please continue to pray and support our church.

These are the praise and prayer items:

• After the Sunday service on Mother’s Day the members had a potluck and celebration to honour their mothers and fathers; some young people expressed their gratitude to their parents, and they asked for forgiveness with each other, and their relationship was restored.
• Two young men had an argument that turned into a fight. Praise God they now have reconciled.
• We prayed for Seng Hour’s surgery to remove the cyst in his neck; praise God the surgery went well, and the cyst is benign.
• For the outreach program in Takeo – visitation, a covered area for meeting, possible Chinese classes.
• For the outreach to the neighborhood of our church. Miss Gao’s Chinese class students told her they have friends gathering at a school nearby on Saturdays. She is planning to meet and befriend them. Maybe they will come to study Chinese with her at the school.

        今年柬埔寨的新年是在聖週的第二天。這是家人團聚在一起慶祝，並迎接今年新年的時刻，活石堂的會友大多離開金邊返回祖家。我們的同工們藉此機會在同工渥當的鄉鎮，離金邊3小時車程的茶膠省開福音性聚會。他的父母、姊妹和家人通常每年都會去那裡進行兩次福音性聚會。今次福音性聚會受到了熱烈歡迎，共有220名成年人參加，其中90％接受耶穌為他們的個人救主。另外還有110名兒童來參加兒童聖經故事。我們讚美天父在那裡所作的工。

        春天來了，卡加利的天氣比較温和。氣温在零度以上，我們可以在屋子附近散步，並在園子裡清除野草。感謝天父保守並賜給我們身體健康、精力充沛，能夠幫助做家務，並與柬埔寨活石堂的同工保持祈禱及與青年學習神的話語。

        Greetings from Calgary, Canada! We just celebrated Easter with assurance that Jesus’ sacrifice and resurrection brought human hope and new life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, whoever believes in Him will have eternal life.

        April is also the New Year for the Cambodian people. It is the time for the families to gather to celebrate and to welcome a new angel for this year. Most of the members of Livingstone Church left Phnom Penh to go back to their homeland. Our staff took this opportunity to do an outreach program in Takeo province where Udom’s family is from. His parents, sisters and family members usually do outreach there two times each year. It was well received with 220 adults attending and 90% of them received Jesus as their personal Savior. Also, there were 110 children who learned about the Bible stories. We praise God for the work that has started there.

        We’re thankful for the warmer weather so that we can walk around our neighborhood and work on the yard. Praise God for good health and strength to help in the house and keep contact with the staff in Livingstone Church in Cambodia for prayers and young people for Bible study.

        We are grateful for your prayers and support for us. Please continue to pray for us and our Livingstone Church.

• The outreach program at the village where many people and children have heard the gospel, and many raised their hands to receive Jesus into their hearts.
• Pray for the follow up of the new Christians that they will stand firm in their faith and to share their beliefs.
• For the sister of Phalla, our Khmer staff, Polly that she will come back to God. She was baptized into Christ’s family. But she turned away from God, stopped studying the Bible with her brother, Phalla.
• For the spiritual growth of our young people that they are zealous to read the word of God and pray. Two of them, Joseph and Ponleu, are still meeting Joe and Liza for Bible study.
• For sending more workers and teachers who teach the Bible and Chinese at our church and in Takeo.
• For Seng Hour, he will go for surgery to remove the lump on his neck. Pray that God will heal him!

        去年三月要離開金邊時，活石堂東邊外牆的壁畫已褪色；我們向差會申請差派短宣隊來，幫忙補上顏色。結果差會安排短宣隊在聖誕節期間從香港來金邊，成功地將壁畫翻新。現在多了孩子來新光幼稚園讀書。短宣隊也參與了聖誕慶祝崇拜，參加崇拜人數超過100人。有很多新來的朋友，還有一些很久沒來的老朋友。我們很高興看到天父在工作！

        我們非常高興看到活石堂的同工有向外發展福音事工：幾個月前，新光托兒所的一位媬姆和家人搬到了一個新開發的社區。她問教會可否在她家附近開辦兒童工作。因此教會的同工計劃在那裡作行區祈禱，看看天父的帶領。

        活石堂傳道波拿夫婦認識一名太太，她和女兒在距離我們教會約20公里外的拜鎮村子開始了教會。一位韓國宣教士幫助在她們的地上建造了一座教堂，但宣教士沒有其他支持。女兒完成了聖經學校的訓練後，在主日負責講道，但她將會結婚，之後移居美國。這位太太正在尋找一位牧者。波拿傳道希望能夠成為她們的伙伴，請為這事禱告。

        聖經學校學生渥當（Udom）和他父親的家人每年兩次回到他們在村子的祖家，接觸當地村民傳福音。那個村子距離金邊大約3小時車程，活石堂的同工正探討在那裡建立教會的可行性！

感恩事項：

1. 教會東邊向街的外牆壁畫重新上色，壁畫翻新後，吸引了更多孩子來新光幼稚園讀書。
2. 兒童主日學分為兩個班，以便老師能夠針對學生的需求進行教學。
3. 每月第一個星期日，教會崇拜後一起吃飯。會友都很熱心地帶食物來分享和有美好的交通。

1. 祈求天父指引教會同工，作福音外展事工。

3. 在青年團契週會中，同工開始教導年輕人如何傳福音。祈求年輕人渴望學習真道和願意分享他們的信仰。

        Happy Chinese New Year! Wishing you God’s blessings and grace to you!

        Praise the Lord there was a short-term mission group from Hong Kong to Living Stone Church during Christmas holidays. They did a fantastic job of repainting the drawings of the wall which has attracted more students for our Sonlight Kindergarten. The team members were also involved with the Christmas program which was well attended with over 100 people. There were many newcomers, and some people who had not come for a while. The staff and young people involved in this project were exhausted but very happy to see God was in work!

        We are thankful to know local staff see the vision of reaching out to the unbelievers. Firstly, one of our nannies at our nursery and family moved to a newly developed community a few months ago. She mentioned that if our church could help start a children group there. So, the staff visited the area and are planning to go prayer walking and see it’s possible.  Secondly, our pastor, Phalla, knows an older lady who started a church with her daughter about 20 kilometres from Livingstone Church. A Korean missionary helped build a church in her land. But the missionary did not have any support for them. The daughter finished her Bible school training and started preaching on Sundays. Now the daughter is getting married and moving to the USA. The lady is looking for a church that can partner with the ministry. Phalla has a vision to help her to build up the congregation and asks if it’s possible for our church to help. Thirdly, Udom, our Bible school student and his father’s family have been going to their homeland to start programs to reach out to the people there twice a year. That place is about 3 hours’ drive from Phnom Penh. The local staff also see if our church can help to plant a church there!

Praise God for these items:

• The newly repainted wall can attract more parents to send their children to our school.
• The children’s Sunday school has split into 2 classes so that the teachers can target the needs of the students.
• Every first Sunday of the month the staff starts a meal together after church. The members are enthusiastic to come and share their food.

Pray for:

• God’s guidance for the staff to know which is the priority for outreach ministry.
• Follow- up of the people who came to the Christmas program.
• During the youth fellowship the leaders have started to teach the young people how to present the gospel. Pray that the youth are eager to learn and have a heart to share their faith.

親愛的主內弟兄姊妹們，平安：

        當世人正忙碌準備慶祝聖誕節時，我們從神的話語得到鼓勵，因知道耶穌是世上的喜樂和希望：「那天使對他們說：不要懼怕！我報給你們大喜的信息，是關乎萬民的；因今天在大衛的城裡，為你們生了救主，就是主基督。」（路加福音二10-11） 「外邦人都要仰望他的名。」（馬太福音十二21）

        當我們放眼看世界時，會發現很多事情發生：不停的戰爭、政治動盪、各地犯罪案件日增、家庭衝突和自然災害。許多人都在掙扎、受苦，沒有喜樂，也沒有希望！但我們感謝神，因為我們在救主耶穌基督裡，可以得著喜樂和盼望！

        很多人問我們是否要回到柬埔寨事奉。我們因為不年輕了，身體也比不上以前，所以決定退休而轉作工場顧問。因為科技的進步，我們仍然能夠每週兩次在線上與活石堂同工禱告，也和一姊妹每週一次祈禱；另外，我們各自每週與兩個年輕人一起學習聖經，也會參加每月一次的同工會。

        多謝您們對我們的支持和祈禱。以下是我們的感恩和禱告事項：

感恩事項：

1. 我們在加拿大慢慢適應冬天零下20度的寒冷天氣。感謝主這兩星期有暖流，可以生活如常。
2. 能夠與子孫們有互動的時間，並能為他們祈禱。
3. 有新人來參加柬埔寨的活石堂。
4. 年青人熱心愛主並主動參與事奉。

祈禱事項：

1. 為活石堂的高姑娘和同工禱告，求主賜下合一的心，有從神而來的異象來策劃明年的事工方向和目標。
2. 為活石堂會友有心渴慕神的話，並將聽了的道應用在日常生活中。
3. 因為柬埔寨在12月25和26日沒有聖誕節公眾假期，教會會在29日慶祝聖誕。到時有短宣隊來訪，求天父保守他們能與本地同工配搭事奉。
4. 聖誕慶祝時多有新人來參加，求主讓教會的同工和會友能關顧他們。求聖靈動工，讓他們能早日歸信耶穌成為他們的救主！

Dear family, brothers and sisters in Christ,

        Greetings from Calgary! As the world is preparing to celebrate Christmas, we are encouraged by God’s word that Jesus is the joy and hope of this earth: “And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. ” Luke 2:10-11  “In his name the nations will put their hope.” Matthew 12:21

        When we look around the world there are so many things going on: wars, political unrest, crimes, family conflicts and natural disasters. Many people are struggling and suffering without hope nor joy! But we thank God that we have the assistance of joy and hope in our Savior, Jesus Christ!

        Many people have asked us if we are going back to serve in Cambodia. Because we are not young and our health is not the best anymore, we have decided to retire in Calgary. Thanks to technology we are still able to pray with the staff twice a week; each of us has Bible study with 2 young people every week. Life here is full and fulfilling!

        Thank you very much for supporting and praying for us. These are our praise and prayer items:

Praise God for:

• A good transition to life in Canada for us, able to interact in the lives of our children and grandchildren and pray for them.
• New people come to Living Stone Church in Cambodia. Young people are zealous to be close to Jesus and serve Him.

Pray for:

• The leadership of our Living Stone Church that they can work in unity, have visions for the coming new year.
• The members thirst for the words of God and apply them to their daily life.
• The church will celebrate Christmas on December 29th; there’s a short-term mission group that will join them. May God grant them health and work out every detail.

        我們在10月14日慶祝了加拿大的感恩節。它提醒我們，有很多事情需要感恩：我們呼吸的空氣、我們的家人、朋友、像您這樣的支持者、有自由來敬拜讚美神。最重要是神的大愛、在基督裡的自由、教導和引導我們的聖靈！

        除了與女兒和女婿一起生活，我們能有更多時間與住在卡加利的兩個兒子和他們的家人見面，並與他們共渡美好時光。兒子和他們的家庭表現出愛和恩典。我們共有3個孫子和3個孫女，年齡介乎4-14歲。14歲的以信非常自豪能夠獲得學習駕駛執照，他可以與有執照的司機一起開車，也有機會在崇拜的敬拜隊中做鼓手；看到他們長大，真是感恩。我們祈禱他們能夠成長為敬虔的基督徒！

感恩事項：

1. 今年秋天的天氣到10月才變涼，落葉前樹葉轉顏色，形成很美麗的景色。卡加利可能很快就會下雪了！
2. 我們可以每週以網絡與活石堂的同工一起祈禱2天，並且我們每人與2位年輕人一起查經。
3. 我們的孫兒已進入新學年，他們在身體和社交方面都有成長。

代禱事項：

1. 為我們能適應老年生活，因年老而有一些常見的健康問題。
2. 請為柬埔寨活石堂的本土同工祈禱，他們需要互相理解，不是看別人的不足，而是團結合一，拓展神的國度。

Dear family, brothers and sisters in Christ,

        In Canada we just celebrated thanksgiving on October 14th. It reminds us that there are so many things we need to be thankful for: the air that we breathe, our family, our friends, our supporters like you, freedom to worship. The most important is the love of God, the freedom we have in Christ and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit who teaches and guides us.

        We’re enjoying our time with our children, not only with our daughter and son in law everyday. We’ve been able to see our other two sons and their families more and spend time with them. Our sons and their wives are growing stronger showing more love and grace to each other. We have altogether 3 grandsons and 3 granddaughters ranging from 14-4 years old. The 14 years old Jacob is so proud to get his learners’ driving license and he can drive with a licensed driver. It’s so awesome to see them grow up. We pray that they will grow into godly men and women.

        Here are our praise and prayer items.

 Praise God for:

• The warm and beautiful Fall weather so far. It might snow in Calgary soon!
• The opportunity is that we can pray with our Khmer staff 2 days a week, and each of us have Bible study with 2 young people.
• Our grandkids are enjoying the new school year. They have grown physically and socially.

Pray God for:

• For the adjustment to senior life as we have some common medical issues because of old age.
• For the Living Stone Church in Cambodia that the local staff have an understanding of each other not to look at others faults but to unite together to expand the kingdom of God.
• For the young people that they thirst for the words of God and apply them in their lives.

親愛的主內弟兄姊妹們，平安：

        時間過得很快，我們回到加拿大卡加利已三個月了。在柬埔寨事奉二十多年後，我們很難與柬埔寨的會友、幼稚園的老師、媬姆和職員說再見。但我們離開時充滿信心，相信當地同工能夠在天父的恩典和帶領下，站起來領導教會和幼兒園。

        我們已在卡加利定居下來，與女兒和女婿一起生活，享受退休生活。我們的另外兩個兒子和他們的家人也住在卡加利。很高興看到他們以及我們的三個孫子和三個孫女。這裡的生活相當忙碌，我們每週仍然透過網絡服侍當地傳道及弟兄姊妹，包括每週兩次與傳道波拿和他的太太沙域有兩次網上禱告會、與兩名年輕人每週一次查經、月甜與進修神學的兼職同工及其太太每週一次祈禱和查經。

        波妮是波拿傳道同母異父的妹妹，今年3月8日受洗。上兩個月，她的母親反對她信耶穌和在她家中的查經班，她沒返教會一段時間，請為她的信心和未信主的媽媽禱告。

        謝謝大家以禱告來支持我們！以下是我們的感恩和禱告事項：

感恩事項：

1. 我們順利地在卡加利安頓下來，又可以享兒孫福。
2. 能與兒子、女兒和孫兒們聯繫。
3. 可以用網絡跟柬埔寨的同工和年青人查經和禱告。

代禱事項：

1. 為當地同工能成為帶領會友們委身事奉神的榜樣。
2. 為高姑娘有從天父賜的智慧來督導教會和幼稚園。
3. 為我們的健康禱告，我們都是糖尿病前期。月甜的膽固醇高了些及有骨質疏鬆問題。
4. 為我們的網絡查經班和祈禱會，能與柬埔寨同工，會友同行。
5. 年青人湯的媽媽駕駛電單車時發生意外，撞傷了右腳的膝蓋。湯要在家中看顧媽媽，下午才返青年團契。

Dear family, brothers and sisters in Christ,

        Greetings from Calgary, Canada! Time passed by swiftly. We’ve been back for 3 months after our mission work in Cambodia. It’s difficult to say goodbye but we left with a confidence that the local staff can stand up to lead the church and the kindergarten with the grace and leading of our Heavenly Father.

        It took us no time to settle down in Calgary where we live with our daughter and son in law for our retirement. Our 2 other sons and their families live in Calgary too. It’s so good to see them and our 3 grandsons and 3 granddaughters. Life here is quite busy as we  still have prayer meetings with our staff twice a week and each of us has Bible study with the young people through zoom meetings. Liza continues to pray with our part time staff who is studying at the Bible school and his wife.

        Please pray for Polly, the step sister of Phalla, our lead pastor, who was baptized in March. But because of the pressure from their unbelieving mother she has lost faith in God; she hasn’t been back to church for a while and does not want to study the Bible with Phalla and Savy at her house.

        Thank you for your support and prayers for us. Here are our praise and prayer items.

Praise items:

• We settled in Calgary smoothly.
• Good times with children and grandchildren
• Opportunity to serve God through prayer meetings and Bible studies with the Khmer members.

Prayer requests:

• For the deeper commitment of the local staff to lead the church and kindergarten.
• For wisdom for Angel Gao to oversee the church and school.
• For our health – we have a few medical issues that are related to old age. However we are comforted by God’s words in Isaiah 53:5 “…the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.“
• The mother of Thon got a knee injury in a motorcycle accident. Please pray for healing.
