Dear brothers and sisters,
First of all, I’d like to thank you all for your continuous financial and prayer support. It is much needed and appreciated.
It has been 6 months since starting my studies at Stellenbosch University: three of those months were spent on campus while the other three were spent at home as a result of the coronavirus outbreak. The coronavirus outbreak forced the university to take a mandatory recess period meaning that I only resumed classes online in April. Online classes have been tough but bearable. It was drastic change from the interpersonal lectures to which I was accustomed. But lo and behold, I have reached the end of semester one and finished the first round of semester exams. In general, my engineering studies at Stellenbosch have been smooth sailing considering all circumstances. And I am currently waiting for these exam results to be published.
Since I will be attending the Chinese University of Hong Kong this coming September, I have chosen to discontinue my studies at Stellenbosch for second semester in anticipation. I am very much looking forward to continuing my studies in Hong Kong.
Since South Africa is currently lockdown for 3 months due to coronavirus, the border is closed at this moment. Please pray that the SA government will open the border and international flight can be resumed. And I can return Hong Kong for further studies.
